“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

| We deserve it. This is the blueprint for the future of the sport.
It was only 8, yes 8 years, when we were an embarrasment.
Poorly managed.
Poorly coached.
A salary cap nightmare.
The best youth leaving in droves.
A lob-sided pay structure.
I still remember to this day IL stating he would have Wigan back to the summit over the next few years, focusing on youth.
He's been true to his word.

| Very pleased with the win given all the injuries and the relatively short turnaround after such an epic game v Leeds.

| from a Leeds fan well done Wigan.....but I think more importantly well done S Wayne, the best British coach in SL by a long way.
SW has an almost Australian way of motivating any player he works with, although Wigan fans won't like it, SW needs to be working with the England side as he is the only coach good enough for the national side.
If he carries on this progress and he's not involved with England, NRL will start hovering IMO.

| What a great result for the Wigan kids. And yet there are still idiots on the Saints forum who believe they have the most talented squad in Super League. Just waiting for the right coach.

| As a devoted Wires fan I have no problem at all in saluting a really, really good performance.
Anyone RL fan who ever worries about the player drain to RU and the NRL should reflect that there is still plenty of talented, skillful, brave natural-born RL talent about, and tonight showed that.
I doff my cap.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| I had tonight down as a defeat - ex Wigan players proving a point, too many injuries, low on gas after the Leeds game, Harris in their camp etc etc.
I don't know how, but they've done the business again. I had the Hull and Leeds games down as probable defeats too and I'm certainly not confident about next week. But we'll probably rip Hudds a new one even with a scratch side out.
I'm not sure what Waney's secret formula is, but it works.

Due care and respect a constant highlighting of adhering to the set standards and the best motivator since Derrick Evans. Give the man a 10 year contract!

I'm not sure there is a secret as such.
It's based on hard work, honesty, a love of coaching young kids and a deep understanding of the game.
Nowadays everyone wants success in life without having to earn it first (the x-factor generation). SW has done his apprenticeship in the game and worked his way throught the junior sides and assisted Madge and learnt along the way. He was ready for this job. He deserves all of the success that's now coming to him. Long may it continue.
