Great player. Slow start to his Wigan career, but a stand out player last year.

Half decent at best, one of the most overrated (by our own fans) players to have played for Wigan since 2006

He was excellent at the beginning of last season but he looked like he was already back in Oz for the last few months.

I was sad to see him leave but after watching him when he's played in the NRL this season he has looked off the pace at times which sort of makes me think it was probably the right decision.

Great player over the years though and did very well for us until his last couple of months.

There was me, thinking he'd retired mid-way through the middle of last season.

I agree. He was\is a great bloke and a real laugh (probably the funniest guy I have ever met) but he did little as a player bar for a few months when the whole team was on fire.

When Paul Deacon announced his retirement I think Maguire wanted to bring in an experienced player that had won things and could organise and Finch fitted the bill nicely.

I thought Finch started slowly at Wigan but eventually proved himself as a good player who organised the side and also settled the young players down a bit.

Everything's relative. You might be correct if you are comparing him to Barrett but compared to what we have now he is top class.

He was overrated, irrespective of talent comparisons to other players.

He played Origin m8. Our current halves would get nowhere near Origin.

In fact they would struggle to get close to Origin under 16's.

I agree they wouldn't and he's definitely better than we've got now. I just don't think he was as good as some people made out, that's all. Even Jamie Aincough played Origin and he was cack!
