I don't know if this should be on another thread but myself I think it deserves a thread of its own.

On Sky Sports News at present is a comment by Sam saying he has had offers from the NRL but he is quite happy at Wigan, it is on the rolling news at the bottom of the screen.

If it is true and he was still to go at the end of the season as everyone thinks he will, it would be a very cynical attempt by the club and the player to appease the fans worries.

But hopefully after this he will stay.

He has just been interviewed on SKY and says that he has not signed any contract with any NRL Club, which disputes everything that we have all been saying for the last few weeks that he is off to NZ Warriors at the end of the season.

Again hopefully it is true.

The coming weeks would be an ideal time to drop a statement from either Sam, or the Club, with some positive news for Wigan about Sams future.

This would be a massive Psychological boost going into the business end of the season for all who care about Wigan.

And would be a huge blow for all who don't!

I agree. What a massive boost it would be for the club (and player) to make a joint statement committing Sam as a Wigan player for the 2014 season....and it's all in IL's hands!

The mole who seems to know everything, says Tomkins has agreed to sign for NZW, but Wigan are still sorting the money side to it all. So he hasnt signed, but he has agreed.

Yet being the key word. He'll be off, of that I have no doubt.

The hold up to any announcement will be Lenagan trying to set up 3 or 4 positive moves for the club to reveal on the same day Tomkins gets announced as leaving.

I'm expecting a couple of current players signing contract extensions, Wane to stay and a new player or two to be confirmed.

There's a thread on the Salford board saying the MEN has stated Hansen will be staying at Wigan. Hope that's true.

I was thinking the other day how good it would be if Sam just came out and said "nah, not really going, happy where I am".

Im not saying it will happen I think he is going, but can you imagine the outrage from some other fans.

Click your fingers and it would be "he wasnt good enough for the NRL LOLZ" and "Oh, Wigan must be breaking the salary cap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

Again not saying it will happen, but just imagine if it did....once you stop daydreaming though, who do you reckon will take the 1 shirt?

When is the season ticket renewal deadline again.... Expect an announcement once you're tied down.

SEASON TICKET RENEWAL.......been a S/T holder for 25+ years, I am seriously thinking of not renewing next year, not because of Sam going/not going but because I live 100 miles away and Monday/Thursday night games are impossible to get to when you don't finish work until 17.30 pm......
