I'm not going to get into the rest of the match, I'm sure you'll all be doing that shortly, but I have to commend Paaaat on the best drop goal I've ever seen. Superb effort.
The only one that comes close is Joe Lydon's at Maine Road all those years ago.

A drop goal that doesn't deserve to be lost amoungst that shambles of a display. I said I'd be happy if we rested Tomkins and Lockers every week bar the cup games and play off games before tonight even if we lost every one and I'll have to stick to that because bar those 2 its ordinary.
Thankfully they'll be back when it matters.

I was at Maine Road when Joe Lydon dropped that goal. But IMHO Pats tonight was better and deliberate. And off the touchline. Joes kick was further infield.
I think there's a vid of Joe Lydon talking about that kick, and he basically said IIRC, that he was surprised it dropped over.
