| Turning a team out is the easy bit, playing as a team is where we have issues of late.

| Where do we have issues?
We lost at Wire but the team out there gave evrything and played very well indeed.
The loss to Cas was a management mistake. Sending players out to back up four days after the grulling game at Wire was as unprofessional as it can get.
The players couldn't put one foot in front of the other. They also didn't learn from Huddersfield's experience of having to do the same thing v HKR four days after beating Leeds at Headingly. IMO it wasn't the players who were responsible for the defeat to Cas.
They played poorly v Bradford for 60 mins but like it or not it was won in the last 20.
I don't think we've issues, what issues btw?

The game is Widnes' last play this season, lose and they're on their end of season party.
Not expecting them to win, but expect a big effort.

I don't have any issues with the wire game as everyone played exceptional, as for being unprofessional, would it have therefore been "unprofessional" to send out a complete reserve team against Castleford if this is what your saying, Where then do you draw the line on professionalism or "spirit of the game" as some like to call it.
As for issues I think we have far too many players playing as individuals rather than as a team at the moment, this from the more experienced players, maybe they are trying to hard or something I don't know, however for me....its an issue.

Do you have to do that every time someone disagrees with you? It's moronic. Anyway, back on topic:
FB 1 Sam
RW 2 Charnley
RC 3 Goulding
LC 22 Gelling
LW 5 Richards
SO 6 Green
SH 7 Smith
P 15 Flower
H 9 McIlorum
P 26 Crosby
SR 11 Hansen
SR 16 Tuson
LF 12 Farrell
S 10 Mossop
S 20 Dudson
S 29 Burke
S 32 Hampshire
If Lockers is fit stick him at loose, Farrell to second row, Tuson to the bench, Burke to drop out.

Bit harsh, he's right, we haven't been performing well as a team as of late. We have the players, but, the disruption has obviously affected us. Hopefully a well drilled, well oiled team will turn up on Monday.

Not sure why you think Gelling should miss out? 3 solid performances, much better in defense than Thornley.
Out of the 3 tries Bradford scored, 2 of them were on Thornley and Charnleys side of the field. Ill be very surprised if Gelling doesn't play on Monday, he deserves his place in the team at the minute.

| Latest from SW on players returning :
"Ryan Hampshire turned his ankle and has again today in training. Michael McIlorum has a slight problem with his knee but I am expecting him to be fit.
"There is a good chance on Lee Mossop being fit for next week, there is less of a chance on Sam Tomkins and a chance for Sean O'Loughlin but even less than a chance for him. I would say its 90%, 50% and 30% chance on those players being fit and ready for the Widnes game."
On other injuries, Shaun added,
"Scott Taylor is still not running with his hipflexor, he is three weeks off and Hame is also 3 or so weeks off. Darrell Goulding should be OK to return so we will have three centres for two spaces with Gells and Iain so that's good."

Sam is only 50/50 save him for St Helens.

I really dont think Sam is injured. Now his move to NZW has been agreed, i think Wane gave him two weeks rest and recover for the latter end of the season and so Wane can see where Tierney and Hampshire are at. I dont think either are ready and thats why were obviously looking to bring in Minichello. I agree, Tomkins will definitely play on Monday.

I'd be happy with that, strongest we'll have been for a while. And hopefully the 10 day rest has given the players who have come back from long injuries chance to get fully fit.
