So not to sound too negative about this signing.
But seeing as Green isn't that old and the fact we've only given him a 2 year deal, it may suggest that this signing is just to fill the void until Powell, Hampshire and Williams are ready? (Rather than a Tommy like signings who we kept for a number of years.)

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.

After watching the highlights video his running style and step remind me of Barrett.
I'm happy with the signing as he look to take the line on with his speed and step, the problem we've had over the last few years is our halfbacks haven't had the pace to take the line all leaving all down to Sam but defences go wise and spread out quick knoing this, with Green at halfback it puts that doubt in the defences mind knowing that either Green or Tomkins could step and go all the way, if they spread out Green goes, if they don't Green whips it out to Sam.

Another mediocre signing on the back of Lauaki. We used to sign Trent Barrett and now we sign Blake Green. I'm sure ticket prices will be lowered accordingly!
Seriously though, why waste a transfer fee on an average Aussie? if you buy young English talent like Warrington (Stefan Ratchford, Atkins, Myler etc) then at least you get some resale value. Poor business from Wigan.
