| At the risk of taking another cyber bashing...
Come on Waney do something, our attack has become too predictable, 9 to 6, dummy runner, to 7, dummy runner with Sam a centre and a winger outside of him. We do very little else. I noted this months ago on here after Wire taught us a lesson and we are still doing the same predictable set up.
I feel we missed Tommy so much as at least he takes on the line on occasion before dropping into formula.
In defence we have become shabby, conceded so many points of late, our tackle technique seems to have gone out of the window. At times even giving away soft tries. Why is this? In attack we may have been figured out, but why defensively are we slipping?
We seem visibly lacking in attack, I fear we don't have the coach to come up with new set plays or options to break down defences. I hope I'm wrong but it's been the same all season, worked for a while but now we've been found out.
This is the time when a good coach can be classed as excellent, but showing they have want it takes to win those big key games, Madge showed us the way, now it's time Wane followed, however, sadly, I don't see it happening.

| Our attack looked much, much better last night. As was the defence. We were cutting saints apart time and time again before Mick was sent off, the reason the sweeping moves werent coming off and we were being tackled, is because Saints had an extra man.

Yeah the extra man did effect things, however, what else did we do differently in attack?

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Sorry, didn't realise I was the head coach, didn't realise it was my job to coach the team, my mistake.
However if you genuinely want me to I can, as long as you're genuinely interested and not just some keyboard warrior looking for an argument.
PS as it happens I went through some sets and idea after Wire handed our s to us.

Why would be looking for an arguement? Just asking for your wise words.

| the end of the first half when we got two consecutive drop outs we realised the extra man was doing us in and went for kicks. then sam scores at the end of the second half from his own kick. agreed that during our dominant period in the second half we needed more imagination though.

| I'd like to see Finch take the line on more like Tommy does. He did it once during the Saints game and he made a break, no support and then fumbled the ball (or there might have been a hand in). Point is Saints weren't expecting it and he made the break. Our halfbacks need to take the line on more.
I agree we have become too predictable but this can work to our advantage. If we go through some plays that are out of the norm then we'll really throw our opposition off. Even something as simple as Tommy/Finch throwing a dummy rather than passing to Sam. Or if the opposition rush out of the line to get to close the space around Tomkins, kick behind the defence for Josh/Pat to chase.

| I agree it's worrying that we only have one - clear as day - move really.
Nothing will change now though.
We will see how the playoffs pan out - Wire will walk it.
Then we will see how our new HB partnership does things next year...

| Disagree, it's not just after one defeat. Many posters including myself have highlighted this for months. I guess some posters/fans like to turn a blind eye to it or simply can't understand the structures of attacking RL, recognising our one play attack.
