10172_1376829585.jpg Dan Sarginson: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the biggest name in the competition" 18/10/2013
Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013
Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| Are some of our 'fans' just waiting for the wendyball season to start? An element of our followers gave Wolfie a hard time, when we usually show respect to our oppo.
FFS, let's get back to what we do best. SUPPORT OUR team, not abuse others because they don't wear the C&W.
Mascots are adored by the young kids, help increase the numbers in the fan base, and could unearth the next generation of RL players.
I'd like us to be known as the best fans in RL, and the recent events are chucking that hope down the toilet.
The Olympics has shown just how good the English are at supporting sporting greatness. Let's have a bit of that, please.

| I didn't like when the young Warrington u20's number 6 came over at the end of the match, to I'm assuming was one of his relatives. The abuse he got was uncalled for.

| I did notice a change in atmosphere at yesterday's game, beyond the normal rivalry into one of outright foul abuse. There seemed a lot of kids there well tanked up, a lot of them smoking. With the potential new ear of friendly spectating which the Olympics have introduced, RL must be careful that it is not seen to be out of its time by a press always keen and eager to stick the knife in.

I didnt tbh. I was in town pre match and all seemed fine. Other than the pint pot thrown when Hock scored, I didnt see anything untoward and even the two police officers I spoke too said all had gone off ok.

Me neither. We were in the Irish Club pre match and had a really good general RL chat with a few people in there.

| The Warrington/Wigan games have always had incidents though with the fans (both sets). The last Wigan/Warrington game I went too there was quite a bit of fighting outside the stadium between the two sets of fans. This was a few years ago and I have not and will not go to these games anymore.
Its come to the stage now where its real hatred. We all say we 'hate' St Helens but there is nothing to this scale at those games - the opposite in fact.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| I thought there was a noticeably good 'atmosphere' pre-game, lots of fans mingling without any of the usual tense air this fixture generates. Certainly in and around The Rodney.
The main question should be - why didn't Wolfie show us his ar$e?

| TBH i don't think it helps having opposite fans segregated into home & away stands ,where the mob mentality of safety in numbers takes over & a bit of banter soon escalates into outright hostility, then spills over to after match trouble. I think life on the terraces was so much better when supporters of both sides were mixed together & meaningful discussions took place on the terraces.

The Locker Cup games used to be bloodbaths.
