| Two biggest games of the season (Leeds and today) and our two worst performances, handing good sides the initiative early on which they punished ruthlessly.
Added to that being completely bullied and outplayed in the forwards doesn't make very good reading. We'll see just how good a coach Wane is now.

| Just started slow and didn't look after the ball all game. Worst part is I don't even think Wire were as good as they could be, if we play like that again and they play as good as they can, we'd lose by even more.
Just got to hope for an improvement now until the end of the season.

| One thing that concerns me about both of those games was despite a rollocking by Wane at half time the team still came out in the 2nd half showing no intensity.

| Another garbage performance in a big game from Wigan. Wane talks big before these games about defence but his team does not deliver. Tony Smith plays things down and lets his team do the talking. Very Worrying.
Compare how Madge's teams started in big games GF, CC Final, CC QF last year v Wane's. His inexperience as a coach shows when it matters. Hope he can learn from this performnace and the Leeds SF. It seems easy to rattle Wigan in big games, they push the pass and make too many errors. Lack of composure and lack of leadership. Lenegan must be a little concerned.

| As I said in another thread, we haven't played well since we lost Leuluai. However, that does not excuse the abysmal ball retention, running the wrong lines and dropping off tackles. We need to seriously improve to get to Old Trafford.

| Totally outplayed from 1 - 17...nothing in your halves...nothing in your forwards.

Yep.
The scoreline flattered us. Dire about 40-50 point better than us.
The hubcap is still in our hands, Wane now needs to earn his money by making sure the psychological damage doesn't ruin the season.

| Think it's harsh to criticize Wane so much. He's lost two big games, but he also saw us batter Saints and Leeds.
There were some tactical errors today, such as playing a half fit Finch, but I think the biggest problem was the players making a ton of errors. Only so much he can do about that.

| Let down by the very basics yet again! It's the fact that these errors to begin with were unforced, that's frustrating.
Big mistake to play an unfit Finch. He alone was responsible for many of problems early on.
On the plus side good kicking game today all considered.
Lockers tried his best to no avail.

| One team played a week last Friday.
One team played only last Monday.
You would have thought it was us who'd had the shorter turnaround.
17 errors in a match is bottom four stuff, did we actually train this week at all?

| Seems i got lucky made a screw up and ended up working until now.
We went off the boil this time last season as well and even in the CC we did not play as well as we did earlier in the season. On the positive still top by a point but it is worrying that when a bigger pack gets on top of us early we do not compete with that side.

| Wane needs to shut his mouth in the week building up to big games. He needs to stop saying how our forwards are going to give it and bully to the opposition. He did this in the semi and this week and our forwards have been battered off the field in both games. Im sure it motivates the opposition.
Shut up and let the team do the talking.
