| How good is this guy? strong running and all over the park in defence with some big hit and runs his blood to water. This guy doesnt get the credit he deserves.
Wigan legend this fella.
Keep it up!!!!!!

| He's terrible when it comes to kick restarts though. I dread the ball heading in his direction. He either fumbles it or let's the ball bounce out of play. My only complaint.

We were laughing about that at the game yesterday.
He's useless at kick offs but luckily is superb at most other facets of the game.

| Hansen has been the most under rated player at Wigan for the last five years.

| I always say about Hansen in that he's a Mick Cassidy replica. Both of them did/do such consistent jobs but half the time you never even notice. Every succesful team needs what I would call "job men" like those two.

i think alot of the players are terrible at kick offs and its something we have been caught out by before (cant say i have ever really noticed hansen being to bad at them).

I think you are doing Hansen a bit of a disservice with the title of "job men". It implies they are somehow just grafters lacking skill whereas Hansen is one of the best 2nd rows in the league.

Tommy used to be the worst offender, though he's been better this year.

I would have put Hansen in the Cassidy mould until these past couple of seasons when IMO he's gone past that honest grafter stage. The weight he's put on has turned him into a physical and aggressive second row that's battering people during games in a way Cassidy wasn't able to.
The thing is I thought Cassidy was brilliant as well so it probably shows how highly I rate Hansen at this moment.

| He has been one of my favourite players ever since he broke into the first team. He has always had good footwork and has always made good runs. I think I remember Barrett once saying he runs some of the best lines out of anyone he has played with. He has been unlucky at times with injury and I was a bit disappointed when he was out of favour with Noble at one stage. He has always had a massive work rate, but his extra weight has helped him be even more robust when taking us forward.

| I'd like Farrell to go progress the same as H, both not the tallest both both run some excellent lines. Farrell with a bit more weight and power would be devastating.

| Wigan are going for height where they can get it.
Geeling signed and now Thornley. One 6'5" the other 6'4".
Jack Hughes being played at centre is simply keeping up to SL game speed.
He will overtake Tuson and maybe Farrell in the next two years. He's tall, skillful and pacey for a forward, just right for a back rower.

On a side not I've been a little disappointed with Farrel this year. He had a quiet 2011 through his own admission, perhaps suffering from second season syndrome. But I thought he'd really kick on in 2012 from where he left off in his debut year. Sadly that's not been the case.
