Looked lethargic, defense was sloppy and have conceeded far too many points in last two games. On a positive note we rallied, came back from 18-6, didnt panic.

Praise:

Attack. Granted it's waned a little, but not to the degree that our defense has.


Grumble:

Still not playing for the full eighty. Even fewer minutes this week.
Hock and his affinity for penalties.
Defense. Some very, very soft try's conceded.

Praise - Brett Finch, outstanding again.

Grumble - Awful defensive display

Grumble
Defence at times looked poor.
Too many penaltys although that could be due to James Child

Praise -
Scored some good trys.
O'Loughlins hit on Melling was worth the entrance fee

Grumble -
Defence, nothing short of pathetic at times.
Our pack looks massively weaker without Mossop, although I cant decide whether that was because PP is not match fit yet.
James Child. He is the worst referee I have ever known. I have never seen him let a game flow, he single handedly ruins the game of Rugby League when he refs.

Prescott looked unfit - 15 mins in 1st half
gaps appearing in defence

We scored plenty.

Grumble :

Our defence stinks, especially one on ones.

Finch was excellent.
Hock played very well, but for the usual couple of brain farts.
Goulding was solid going forward and in defence.


Pack looked lethargic, and their skilled players opened them up.
Backs did well enough with the little they got.
Reffing was as poor as we are coming to expect, sadly.

Grumble - conceding too many soft tries

Praise -

Hock - Been in great form this year, can't wait to see how does next week against Wire.
Goulding - Showing that his position is centre. I've never been a fan of him, but he's been excellent this year I've thought.

Grumble.

Defence. Just not good enough - sort it out Waney.

Praise -

Our attack is looking good and there's still some improvement to be found.
Hock is getting back to his best with another good performance and played nearly 70 minutes if I'm not mistaken.
Finch is getting better and better and his running game has improved since last year.
Goulding is still going strong at centre, made some very good breaks, scored a lovely try and is defending well.
The audacity of Sam Tomkins to score his try from the tap penalty.


Grumble -

Our defence wasn't up to scratch, particularly behind the ruck with McIlorum and Flower being particularly culpable.
Poor discipline that piggy backs teams up the field and allows them to put pressure on our defence far too easily.
Some soft tries conceded; such as London's 1st with Finch's ridiculous tackle attempt that left him on the floor or the terrible attempts from Charnley and Tomkins on Sarginson.

Praise - We won. We scored some great tries. Gareth looking awesome in terms of fitness, strength and skill.

Grumble - Shaun Wane. He said in the video interview on the website: "Mentally as a group we`ll be different this Friday." And so the inference from this remark is that on Sunday the team was not right mentally. Well if that is the case then it was Wanes`s fault as well as the players. And I have to say that I worry about his apparent inability to motivate the team for this type of game. IMO if Madge was still here we would not have conceded a total of 11 tries against the two bottom teams in the league in consecutive weeks and we would not have lost to Widnes.

Praise- Doubt we'll be getting called boring this year.

Goulding is a miles better centre then Joel Tomkins.
