| When will we see Dudson in a Wigan shirt? Also, is Hughes injured? Or just not in the 19 based on Widnes performance/Carmont back?

Think Wane has one eye on next week, and wants to give George a run out before that big game

| Anyone know how Russel and Spencer got on last night? I know both figured on the score sheet for Leigh.

Dudson is playing for South Wales Scorpions and we will no doubt see him get a chance in our first team when SW feels he deserves a shot. It would seem that others like Flower and Spencer have been ahead of him up to now so they have been getting selected.
Jack Hughes is only a young lad don't forget and his transition into the first team has to be carefully managed like any other youngster. He has been making a big step up from under 20s standard and has slotted in well but is being rested to avoid burn-out. Add to that the fact that he is being replaced by a vastly experienced and skillful player who is a specialist centre. I'm sure we will see more of him over the season but too many games in succession now could set Hughes back and make him less effective when called upon later in the campaign.

Spencer was impressive in a well beaten leigh pack.
Russell did ok, 1-2 bad passes when coming into the attacking line..not much he could do as last defender for a couple of rovers tries.
he has a look of billy slater when running

I didn't watch the game but i've heard from Leigh fans Spencer look very solid and made good yards, where as Russell has the mixed game you are talking about. It sounds like Russell has a lot of work to do in defense but he is only 18.

Just 1-2 times were going low was the right option instead of high..but like you said he's only 18 and that split second decision making will come good.

| Fielden looks to be finished.
Was meant to be ready for the Cas game and now has a knee problem that won't go away according to Wane. Return date was estimated at 2-3 weeks away at the start of the year and still is now.

| Welcome back George Carmont.
Let's hope he can recapture something like the form he showed last season when he was the best centre in the comp by a country mile.
We've known for years that this man is a great professional and servant of this club, but his performances in the WCC and the Exiles game in particular last season showed what a talented athlete and rugby player this man is.
Just one more special season George, please.

not even a bad thing that he's missed games either imo, we haven't missed him particularly and the 5/6 games he's been out will keep him him from burning out or tiring come later in the season imo... all good!
