Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

19m would easily get you a new ground.
You could borrow at least that again to fund it and woukd probably still attract a couple of mil in grants etc.
Then theres naming rights etc.
He wont though he aint a daft millionaire and at 65 even if he was to stary hairman for the next 20 years youve got a good home and security.
Thinks hes pretty similar to Saints Chairman but we had to build a stadium.
Theyll put a sensible amount in but want to run the clubs like a business which is fine while the cap remains and others do the same.

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

Because we play second fiddle to premiership football. Next easter monday we should be at home to wakefield because latics play man u on that day we have to play on tuesday evening. imo that will loose us money and that is only one incident. |

why would we want a new ground the DW is still by far the best RL stadium in SL even if it is shared with a naff footie team (sorry latics but you are dire!)- its in a prime position on the edge of town, is reasonably easy to get to, has good parking, is a ten min walk from two mainline stations and fifteen mins from the bus station, the facilities are far better than the Halliwell Jones or the Stobart and we have a crowd capacity of around 24000 - no other SL ground comes close -
