| Well Madge gave his first press conference as Souths coach today and it was like watching him take charge at Wigan all over again - his handling of the Aussie media was as proffesional as ever.

Wish him every success next season and will definatley be watching Souths results closely in 2012.

| Good luck to him.
Hope to see him back here in the future but if he's as successful as we think his talent will make him it's unlikely.
What a great 2 years.

| Would love to see Madge return but I can't see it. He is destined for greatness.
He will top the table with them I reckon.

Your can see some of those journos thinking "my bloody arm is killing me!" - what a weird way to hold a press conference.
A bigger point though. They are already returning to pre season with 4 and half months preparation to the start of the NRL season in the height summer. We on the other hand have probably less than half that length of pre season in cold, dark winter. No wonder we are always an edge or two behind the Aussies!

Most clubs give their players four weeks off from when they finished playing, which is just about what Souths are doing with the players they have back in. Their internationals won't be back for pre-season until the New Year.
What are Wigan planning to do with their internationals if the Tri-Nations is on until the back end of November and the warm weather training due for mid-December?

He'll be a massive loss to us....just hope he comes back a'la monie in a few years when he's achieved what he wants to in the future and his kids have grown up.
Good luck Madge and thanks for everythin....Go and win the NRL next year!!

| Looked weird seeing him with a South T-shirt on and listening to him talk about another team.

'Was' destined for greatness, but he's now left the greatest club of all. Shaun 'Mr Wigan' Wane is now destined for greatness. Not everything Australian is great you know after all Wigan is not Australian now is it?

| Best of luck to Madge. I think he'll do well but I doubt he can turn South Sydney into title winners in one season even though they do have a lot of potential.
I'd like to see him back at Wigan one day but I doubt it will happen. Hopefully Waney will be just as good

| Can't see him coming back. It was only a job for him, and he didn't even see out his contract. He'll be looking for the Storm job within 5 years, and then the Aussie national side.
