| Well as far as I'm concerned they can get stuffed. Sam said two weeks ago that he won't be leaving this season.

| Is it only me who thinks sam wouldnt be suited to RU? Where would they play him? He would be wasted at full back- he would never see the ball and when he did he would be expected to clear his lines plus the fact England RU seem to have Foden comfortably at full back as well as Owen Farrell and George Ford coming through at 10, at Fly Half his running game would be wrecked.
If Sam goes anywhere it will be the NRL, I wouldn't be suprised to see him join up with Madge at Souths.
Joels a different kettle of fish though hes big agile and had a good all round game, he will be take mike tindalls place for sure.

Great isn't it, another 2 lost to Union.
The way things are going I will stop watching League in Britain. We are becoming a feeder sport and I would much rather watch and start to follow an NRL team, who are the top of the food chain than watch our code simply become and accept more crucially that we are nothing more than a union production line.
Sam would be a sensation in any of the backline positions in union except perhaps inside centre.

He has a very similar skillset to Jonathan Davies (minus the kicking, but that can be taught). He was a pretty useful Union fly-half.

| The amount of money he can earn in Union is frightening. Whilst Id rather he stayed in League, he would be daft not to go to Union.

| The comment about "more room in Union than League" sums up the article.
So why will be there be more room when there's 30 on the field at Union and four less in League.
Who says Joel will make it anyway?
He will be drafted in at centre but we've seen him play 3 this year at Wigan and at times he's been less than convincing.
If Joel is on £400k a year or anywhere near it he'd better hit form immediately.
They won't pay that kind of money for him to play in the reserves.
No doubt as Joel has four years left on his contract, if he does go the Wigan club will retain his RL registration. So, if it doesn't work out and wants to return to League then there's only one place he can come back to.
If he goes though I do hope he makes it.

I don't. I hope he comes back in 2 years, tail between his legs.

| The other aspect of this is the quote mentioned that Sam says he wishes to be the best full back in the world ahead of Billy Slater.
Well he won't achieve that at Wigan and most certainly won't in Union.
The only place he will become that good is if he goes to the NRL.
Is this Sam's first hint publicly that long term he sees his future in the NRL?

| I hope he goes, for his sake.
He is without doubt the finest RL talent that I have had the pleasure of watching since Hanley. He is one of those players who I would turn up to watch (if you know what I mean )
One bad tackle and it could all end.
He deserves to earn some decent money, if only for the entertainment that he has given us already.

| I don't think any of us realistically expected Sam to spend his entire career at Wigan. So when he does eventually leave I hope it's to the NRL. It's already the best competition in world Rugby, and with the new television deal on it's way, it's soon be the richest. I'd much rather he stays in League, and hopefully by playing in the NRL he'll fulfill his undoubted potential.
