| The CCC. Challenge Cup Curse. Not criticising any of the team or coaches here but winning the Challenge Cup seems more like a curse these days. Wire were worthy winners of the hub cap, played over 27 matches and got very little reward and even less recognition. We won the CC, doing it the hardest way possible and yet somehow it feels like we won nothing. The GF is being contested by 2 teams who have played indifferently all season.
Brian Noble had it right, what you do during the season doesn't matter, what matters is making sure you are in the play offs and you need only win 3 games. Sky and the RFL have conned everyone into thinking only the GF matters. It's no wonder RL, regardless of how good a game it is, lags behind.

| Leeds haven't had a week off and played SL teams all the way through the CC. We had a chance at home to get a desperately needed week off and blew it - that's why we're not the GF for me.

| We all know the system at the beginning of the season. We just have to learn how to play the system better. Weve let a chance of a GF slip away by not using our squad well enough imo.

For me CC is played too late, it should be done and dusted earlier in the year.

This. Said all along we wouldnt win GF if we didnt win in week 1 and get the free weekend. After an awesome effort in the first 20 tonight the lads looked shot. If we could have got a couple mores tries during that period we could maybe have held them off but when it was so close it always favoured the fresher team. No sour grapes from me, just a long, hard season caught up with them and they fell at the final hurdle. Thanks for everything Madge, bring on 2012!

Nobby didnt have it right that's why we won nothing while he was here.

Why not just bin 6 months of rugby??....Go straight to the play-offs and then we'd have the true champions??....
The Super 'League' is a sham....It isn't a league competition, its a 4 week Cup competition, where a side who get a run of form going usually come out on top.

| Is the timing any different to your "glory years", when you won both at the end of every season.
Personally, I'm pleased about the way Wigan and Warrington have approached the challenge cup, in that you seemed to have treated it with the reverence it deserves. You can only win two trophies in a year and you have won one of them. Be pleased about it. I'm still jumping about 1963. Do you know how that feels?

| We won 50% of the available silverwear that matters. (id have swapped one for the other, but still!)
Not a bad season.

But Wigan didn't.
Winning 1 trophy from the 3 avaiable is closer to 33%.
However Wigan didn't even manage that as they won 25% of the available silverware. Don't forget they were also in the WCC!

If you're going to class the hubcap as a trophy we may as well class the rl 9's as well.In that case we only won 25% of the trophies oh well

Behave will ya! The Challenge Cup is back in its rightful home. We didn't just win The Challenge Cup, our U20's today won the Grand Final there. 2 years on the trot! How exciting is that!
Not to mention Best Supported Club, and god knows what else come MOS awards...
We needed to not win SL trophy this year anyway... not enough space in the trophy cabinet for it.

| Suppose reacing the CC final, and then having to play in every round of the play offs is too much, and bound to take it's toll.
Genuine excuse I suppose.
Would be too much to ask for a team to reach CC final AND Grand Final...especially finishing 5th in the league
Oh well...see you all at the internationals in a few weeks time.
