Turned us around big time and i can't thank him enough for that..signing with Souths seems to have a big effect on the team and our defeat today was maybe the end result..mixed feelings tbh about it all.

He's been great. Fantastic for our club.
This season hasn't been what some have built it up to be IMO though.

His time has come to move on to be honest and I think we'll be fine with Waney.

You know..looking back over his reign we have really over performed..he applied an ethic that the rest of the league adopted..but as the NRL does SL moves on..hope we do with next coach..and hope all the players are ok and ready for next year..

Challenge Cup winners and 2nd in the league is great, and also playoff semi finalists. The biggest thing that MM achieved was getting us to finish top last season. With a bit of luck we could have won the CC or GF under Noble cos they are cup competitions but we were miles off showing the class and consistency its takes to top the league.

Agree with you AJ the culture needs to stay the same..as it's the culture that brought success!

The season has been a fantastic one. I'm absolutely gutted that we lost last night but at the start of every season I want to win the CC and we have done so once the dust settles I'll be relatively happy.

3 (sort of) cups in 2 seasons.

I would say we would take that as a return. then keep the run going.

Thank you Madge, he showed a bit of emotion when he came across to say goodbye to the fans, I'm sure he has enjoyed it at Wigan and I hope when the time is right for him he will come back, I just detect there is unfinished business, it's just a pity he could not have stayed a couple more seasons and built his own team.
Don't think any Wigan fan will have a bad word against him, he has turned the club round big style in two seasons.
Hope the next coaching staff can carry it on.

Shame we can't have some kind of end of season celebration to thank him and those who are leaving us

Was great to see madge and his management team enjoy a few light ales last nite well and truly deserved thanks madge for two great seasons and putting Wigan RL back on the map plus two trophies

What MM & the back room team have achieved in 2 years is phenomenal. Let's remember, although we made semi-finals before then we were nearly always underdogs & never really looked like we had the consistency to win anything. Whereas under Madge, it's only really the last month where we've had any disappointment - and it was always going to happen eventually, you can't win everything all of the time (well, not anymore, anyway!)

End of the day, if you'd asked any Wigan fan 2 years ago "would you take a GF win & a CC win in the next 2 years" we'd have bitten their hand off. Amazing job. Thanks a million.
