| So only Wigan players threw high shots?
I see.

| "Saints were on the receiving end of several high shots, particularly in a frenetic first half, with one high tackle leading to Wigan prop Andy Coley spending 10 minutes in the sin-bin, after flattening winger Tom Makinson"
I must of missed this bit, rubbish article!

| The bit where Wellens describes Richards "speeding past him" made me laugh.
1] My gran could speed past him
2] If he hadn't been flapping his arms like a hummingbird at Bentham, he could have stopped Richards coming further in before grounding

| More bulls*it for Maguire to feed to the players this week. Hopefully as I said last night it'll keep pouring in so we have plenty to use.
I'm desperate to get through this game and get another crack at Saints. They'll have to play a lot better then Sunday to beat us in that game.

Just pin it up on the walls in the gym and make sure they all read it.
Nothing like an annoyed set of forwards.

| Coley in the bin?!
Anyway - I watched the game again and agree with Simmons that there were a fair few high shots coming in from Wigan that went unpunished and it seems par for the course this year for our players to get clobbered high every game.
Our discipline is better than most (in fact I think we've conceded the fewest penalties of any team this year) which probably adds to Simmons' frustrations when indiscipline isn't punished.

| Err, what about the one by Foster on Charnley just before he dived for the line for the disallowed try? It wasn't a particularly dangerous high shot but Foster made contact above the shoulder and it should have been a penalty (a fact ignored by the ref and video ref) even if it wasn't a try. (Or is Bentham claiming to have played advantage - in which case it's arguable that without the high shot Charnley would have scored (assuming he didn't!) and therefore we got no advantage and therefore we should have had a penalty.

| So, speaking of double standards, 2 Super League coaches have been fined for speaking out against the referees this season, this is the second time Whiney Boy Simmons has moaned, and no doubt, the second time he'll get off with it.
Nothing like winning gracefully eh?

Clear example of a reckless high tackle, absolutely no question. Precisely what Simmons is talking about. I'm surprised Charnley managed to get up after he stepped and ducked under Foster's grab.

I wonder whether he may have inadvertently revealed why he can't run very fast. It's no wonder, really. Just glad I'm not the Saints kitman.

Leaving aside the issue that Foster made contact (though it amounted to little more than a girly slap it was still a penalty), are you saying that if a player ducks under a high tackle the tackler hasn't committed an offence?
