| Great spectacle for all Wigan fans, excellent free flowing rugby league.
Notable points:
Sam is becoming 'Hayne like' his link up, he understanding of the, his speed, his step are outstanding. If I was being really picky I'd say a little greedy at times, but wow, he's becoming, if not already one of the best in the world. Keep him at FB for me, his link up from a little wider is incredible.
Good to see Tommy used as a 9 and 9 only, IMO we looked more lively when he was at 9. Cracking game from him.
Pat, what a game. Did far more that score. Both he and Charnley provided excellent workrates.
Charnley is always learning and developing. First half nearly was caught out by Dobsons excellent kicks, but learnt and didn't let it happen in the second half.
Carmont-think I will shed a tear when he retires, another classy, skillful and professional performance
We won't always have it our own way, KR did play most of the game with only 2 subs.

| Also I found it particularly pleasing to see the successful link up between Finch and Deacon. Some Barrett esq passing from Finch, he's setting into the team well. Great to see his class coming through.

| Leuluai was much better at hooker and much better starting there. McIlorum was below par again and that's the only real worry I had from this game; he'll never be a top hooker if he stays inconsistent.
Charnley looked dangerous and was very aggressive with his runs. Prescott and Mossop were excellent in the front row and really dominated. I also thought it was noticeable how important Sean O'Loughlin is to the side. With Leuluai and O'Loughlin off the team looked poor and stopped scoring. As soon as they returned so did the points.
The Carmont try towards the end of the game was one of the best I've ever seen. It was so well worked and beautiful to watch. Had the names of the players involved been Lockyer, Smith, Slater etc. people would be raving about it.

| Lockers is one of my favourite players at Wigan. massive in defense and can pass like a half. Someone who wouldn't look out of place in the NRL.
I agree about Prescott and Mossop, both developing very well.

| Mossop will play for England against the Exiles. Prescott might join him too.
Thoroughly enjoyed the match.

| sorry guys, until the last 15-20 mins we did not play well. the scoreline did not reflect Wigan playing 'great rugby'. HR played the majority of the game with two interchanges and were out on their feet. Had we given Warrington that much possession and territory they would have torn us a new ass hole...period!
I do wonder why rather than get the ball wide we are going up the middle, that is confusing. Joel tomkins needs to improve at centre quickly. He is doing nothing there in my opinion, dragged into touch yet again, when will he learn.

Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_36121.jpg |

I'll agree that Joel needs to straighten up a little when the ball's drifting out but his coming back on the left hand side of the field to support the Carmont try was outstanding link-up play.
He's far from the finished article but given it's his first season there I can't complain. Wonder if Gary Connolly's at a loose end and fancies teaching him a trick or 3?

He makes errors, but it's a little harsh to only mention his dragging into touch. He was heavily involved in the last bunch of tries.
We can put that win entirely down to fatigue by the opposition if we want to, but that's never always the case. Besides, Rovers had plenty of possession and territory early on, but aside from that lovely kick by Dobson, they never looked like scoring. That was down to strong defence by Wigan.

Agree with Cherry. I also felt sorry for the Hoff after that early knock on but he still worked his socks off.
We look a lot better with Carmont in the team I just hope we find a good replacement when he retires.
