No, not with Marsh in the centres, for me he's never a Superleague centre.

| Signings are a must IMO. Our current squad depth has played a massive part in our recent success and if we went a full season with that squad and got a few injuries, we'd be fooked.
We need an experience centre (or a miracle in keeping Carmont), a 7 or a 9 (depending on where Leuluai stays) and a Prop or a Second Row (depending on where Hock plays)

| I believe we would have the cap for a world class centre..Justin Hodges would be great.

| To answer the question, yes I think it probably would.
But we need to bring someone in for #4 and it would be asking a lot of Joe Mellor to throw him straight in at the deep end as starting halfback. Even Sam Tomkins had half a year as a sub before starting. I would prefer a creative hooker to be brought in to strengthen the pivot positions.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| It's not about making a team that will challenge, it is about putting out the best team you can to win the league.
Even an idiot can see we need to add to the squad next season with the players we have leaving.

| I don't think so sadly.
What it is tho is a very good core of players that is possibly missing a star name.

Great question and its a tough call. I do think 4 and 6 need a look at though and I am assuming there that Finch really "ups the anti" in the run in

I was asking the question mate..i dont believe for one second that we can go without signing if we lose the players we look like doing.

| I'd say we need 2 signings. A new centre and a new half back. I'd love to see rangi chase at wigan, him and finch would compliment each other quite well for me. Centre? No idea. who is available? Bring someone in from Aus for me.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

| That side certainly would challenge IMO. Whether it would be quite good enough to win prizes is a tough one. My only real concern about that side would be Marsh at centre.
With a slight rejig that side could be made stronger IMO.

Isn't Roberts signed up for next year as well? He is a better player than Marsh.

[quote="headhunter":lnxdgxk2]Union people are idiots. They almost universally accept that league is a better, faster game played by better athletes, yet for some reason they continue to disregard and belittle it. That game is tedious as hell from start to finish. If he'd ever played or even bothered to give more than a fleeting chance to league he would realise that the game is far more 'technical' than Union ever could be. Booting the ball into touch, scrummaging and forming rucks and mauls aren't areas that involve any skill, technique or mental capacity whatsoever. These are clumsy, outdated facets of the game that are also extremely uninteresting to watch and thus have to be defended in some way by people who are too prejudiced to see the truth.[/quote:lnxdgxk2]: |

| Need a FB and Centre (unless we can get another year out of carmont ) and a prop as a priority for next season IMO....poss a hooker if Tommy doesnt go to starting 9, because MM does not control enough IMO and we lack direction when he goes to hooker. Dont get me wrong Micky Mac is ok for 20 min spells but that is all.
Prop as I dont think fielden will go again (not 100% sure he'll come back this season tbh) and it must be coleys last season this year
One thing for sure - we cannot afford to lose Richards IMO.
For me;
1. New W/c FB - problem is who is available?
2. Charnley
3. Tomkins
4. Carmont or New Centre
5. Richards
6. Sam
7. Finch
8. Mossop
9. Tommy
10. Hock / New prop if Hock goes S/R
11. Farrell
12. Hoffman ? (More likely Hansen if Hoff goes back)
13. O'Loughlin
--------------------
14. McIllurum
15. Lima
16. Tuson
17. Prescott
There is more than enough there to challenge, but we need 2 or 3 positions IMO. Still should be pleanty on the cap to get it

No, but that side is weaker than what we would be able to put out next year without signings. This side would do very well:
1. Roberts
2. Goulding
3. Charnley
4. Carmont/Pryce
5. Richards
6. Sam
7. Leuluai
8. Fielden
9. McIlorum
