| Just in the car park. I'll have to watch it again when I get in but first thoughts are; what a fantastic game of rugby league, great advert for the sport and a great win for us. Thought both teams played very well and quite frankly I'm knackered from watching it!

St. Helens RFC - 2014 League Leaders Shield Winners & Grand Final Winners: |
|
| Yeh great game and a great advert for rugby league. Saints gave everything - can't fault the team for spirit or effort - hopefully they can patch everyone up for Monday. Wigan shaded it just in terms of making the right plays at the right time where as Saints inexperience at key moments cost them the game. Two controversial decisions (the forward pass try and the off the face knock) balanced themselves out in the end. Once again though both sides have put on a spectacle that was 100 times better than what was served up last night and earlier today. Saints Vs Wigan - THE derby of british rugby league.

| Watched it with three Catalans who spent the majority of the match, especially the second half, on the edge of their seats. Spent the first half explaining what was going on. Second half no questions. The game is that simple, brilliant!

You can't equate a try scoring forward pass with a mistaken knock on (was it even a mistake, I'm not sure about the rules?)
The former results in four (or six) points. The latter is six tackles on defence.

| We were a tad lucky, but i'll take the 2 points. Surprised Stains aren't making more of Wheeler getting taken out after his kick. Big turning point IMO.

If the ball is headed forward then it's a knock on, so it was the correct decision as far as I'm aware. It's the forward pass for the final try in Cardiff which has now been evened out.

If we're going back THAT far we'll need a pen and paper. There were several dubious decisions in that game.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Credit where credit is due. You were very good ten minutes before half time and twenty minutes after. The rest was Saints' game. You won because we were down to bare bones injury-wise and gave you three gilt-edged chances with seven minutes to go (and you were also the beneficiary of a forward pass resulting in a try).
I don't have anything to "weep" about. I thought we were the better side.

You had a few dubious decisions yourselves
The ball steal that never was, and the head ball lead to two tries both come to mind

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know
