That was possibly one of the greatest defensive efforts I've seen from a Mike Maguire coached side. Absolutely outstanding. All the boys and the coaching staff should be very proud.

We only needed 12 men last week to beat Hull and only needed a squad of 16 to win last night. If things carry on like this we'll be able to give a few guys a rest near the end of games and play with 10(thats very tounge in cheek before any opposition fans start).

Absolutely spot on.

Everyone was immense last night - they were the ultimate in teamwork, spirit and the will to win.

They and all our supporters should be very proud.

If Mellor was never going to get usedwhy not another forward on the bench?

We were never going to run away with the game so he could be introduced in a comfortable position

To bring him into the game if the Giants had a big lead would not do his confidence any good

The best defensive effort yet, better than the win at Saints last year

We only used 16 a couple of times last year iirc when Tuson first came onto the bench.

It would have been good for the lad just to have a match day experience with the first team and i'm sure his chance will come. There are more then enough games in superleague where we could rest a halfback and give him a shot and not look any worse for it.

Because we'd have had no cover in the backs in case of injuries. Normally we'd have the option of moving Joel to centre, which we've had to do before, or Lockers to #6, but he was already there. None of the forwards we had could really cover in the backs.
