1st home game of the season lets frighten the opposition with noise

Will never happen. We have too many part timers at home games. Our away support on the other hand, is first class

aye we need to do somrthing bigtime regarding the atmosphere at our games needs bringing up at the next flag meeting will speak to conroy and mattyb on sunday we shuld be frightening our opposition to shreds with our crowds

Won't happen this Sunday. I bet you the atmosphere will be flat as a pancake. People keen to improve things are spread out. Some are in the East for a start. It needs about 20 people minimum to stick together and not be embarressed about singing even if the rest of the stand is not joining in. Over the season things might start to improve and more people join in if this group stick together and keep at it. Where does this group go? I reckon in a week or two we'll have about 25 flags n' banners ranging from the large ones at the front on WCC night to ones half about that size down to smaller 2 stick flags. Would look great if this could be centred on a particular part of the stand with people getting into the singing at the same time. Needs people to hold their hands up though and say that they'll get involved if it's going to work.

Need to get people who don't usually sing to join in, it'd be good if there was a club song everybody could agree on we would be sorted.

If our lot couldn't get up for a World Club Challenge and get behind their team with their voices it's never going to happen...sadly

Would only happen if everybody who wants to sing was in one place. At Saints every year we have about 500 people towards the back of the stand making sure our end is bouncing. Surely most of these people go to home games so if we could get at least 100 people all stood together then others would follow and join in, this in turn would be enough to get the stadium rocking. I would be happy to move to the south if such an area existed but untill then I would rather have my better view of the game in the East.

Will never happen unfortunately hence why i gave up and moved to the east stand some years ago. There's a few at the back of the South and some at the back of the East who do try but to no avail. I still get the odd shout of sit down if I so much as jump up when we make an exciting run or something similar.

Away games are still 10 times better but even some of our away support is getting lethargic now.

Maybe jimmy birts can speak to simon collison about it and what he thinks can improve the atmosphere over to you jb

We'll have to build something up at away games first I reckon. Starting at Huddersfield!

90% of people just want to watch the game, rather than have to stand up for 80 minutes singing and dancing.
