This is going to seem like a silly question...
But the Headingley train station is the closest one to the ground? We are driving up from Coventry Saturday lunchtime, then parking in city centre and getting train from there. Are most Wigan fans getting the train from city centre to Headingley? Also as someone mentioned any pubs near to the ground (friendly ones)?

No, nearest one is Burley Park station, Headingley station is nowhere near Headingley, it's almost in Kirkstall.
Best bet is to drink in town, then get the train to Burley Park & walk to the ground.
Good places in town are:
The Hop (ale bar in the Dark Arches)
Victoria Hotel (Great George Street)
The Brewery Tap (New station Street) |
