been reading the sun newspaper online this morning and it says ;

Lewis Tierney, the eldest son of Jason Robinson, has been snapped up on the Wigan Warriors scholarship scheme.

He continues to star with Orrell St James Under-16s at full-back and top scouts say he looks certain to follow in the famous footsteps of his dual-code international dad.

Wigan have also engaged Orrell centre Arron Lewczenko, 15, on the same scheme. He can run 100 metres in 11 seconds.

SHOULD BE INTRESTING!

The Union scouts will already be rubbing their hands with glee.

"Here's another one we can let Wigan do all the work with, then we'll get one of our lazy, rich, gin-soaked benefactors to stump up a silly signing-on fee, and we'll get the benefit."

well its still good to see young players with a bit of calibre coming in to the club, although I think both were already in the system from the u-15's

It will be very interesting! Especially if that second lad makes it. Cant wait to hear commentators try and pronounce that little beauty. icon_lol.gif

I thought the same soon as I read the thread title.

Never the less I hope both lads can go on to star for Wigan.

Went to have a look at the article and noticed this at the side of it where they claim Millward has applied to be assistant coach to McRae at Salford -

He commented "I was made aware of a press report in the Manchester evening news linking me with a move to Salford next season, the newspaper article was totally unfounded and I would like to draw a line under it."[/i

It's pronounced Le-chen-co.

Sounds promising though!

play against both of these and they are the type of players you can just tell they are destined for super league action.

Nice to see Orrell St James getting some recognition at last-, they normally have to live in the shadow of bigger clubs despite having some great teams

Lewczenko is the preverbial off a shovel, a real flyer.

From limited viewing of both Orrell and Wigan 15's he was the stand out for me.

Saw Jason in Nandos at the Reebok a couple of weekends ago. Wife and Kids couldnt understand why I was in awe of the guy (but then again they know nowt about rugby)
