Wow, I didn't expect that. I was (arrogantly) of the opinion that tonight was going to be a walk in the park, and so it looked after the first 15 minutes, 14-0 up and Leeds had barely been accross the half way line.

Then Joel Tomkins gives away a needless penalty on Leeds' line. We manage to keep them out and get a decent kick and chase in only for Paul Prescott to give away an equally stupid (if not more so) penalty for the same infringement.

From then on in we were in a game, and despite some brialliant displays, most notably for me from Sam, Fielden and Coley (none of them deserved to be on the losing side) were unable to dominate the game like we had in the first 20.

I questioned Maguire's choice to drop Paleaaesina at the start of the match. For me, Wane got it right when we beat Leeds at Headingley in selecting 4 props. I don't like having two back rowers on the bench and only one prop. The likes of Hansen, Joel and Farrell don't need to be spelled as regularly as the front rowers.

Quite simply we bottled it tonight (credit must also go to Leeds mind, who performed well for the last hour of the game). We were playing a Leeds side who for the majority of the game were without 3 of their first choice props in Peacock, Burgess and Bailey (who went off certainly in the first half and did not come back on). With the injury to Deacon we had 2 props and 4 back rowers on for all of the game, and yet were unable to really dominate the middle of the park like we should have done. Some poor choices made in the final 20, a shocking long kicking game and some silly errors to go along with the familiar story of lack of discipline.

Now for the knee jerk bit: what does Prescott really offer long term? He is pretty injury prone, gives away stupid penalties all too often, takes the ball up an average amount of times, making an average number of yards. Yes, he tackles pretty well, but we have a team full of big tacklers with the likes of Hansen, O'Loughlin, Fielden, Coley etc. and all of these offer alot more going forward than Prescott does. As I have admitted, this is a knee jerk based on a poor performance tonight from Paul, but he needs to improve rapidly if he is to convince me he has a long term future at Wigan.

As for Joel Tomkins, I think as the season has gone on, he has become a tad arrogant, and his discipline is quite simply shocking. Should have got 10 for kicking out at McGuire (doesn't deserve a ban mind) for sheer stupidity if nothing else. The lad's a great talent, but needs to be alot smarter. We lost by 1 point. He gifted Leeds 2 points tonight, go figure.

At 14-0 up, the game should have been over. We bottled it yet again...

Too much hype over the Hub-Cap..They need to give their heads a very big shake because tonight was a return to Noble's clueless Wigan.

Joel should be sacked from the leadership team NOW. Gives away far too many silly penalties which cost us points and games (see his penalty bang in front that has cost us the game)

He's had a cracking season (and is my vote for player of the year) but he's a liability at times.

We always struggle to step up when it comes to the big games, Im gonna be abit critical here... but I thought J.Tomkins, Prescott and Tuson cost us the game. Same old interchanges again, we were 12-0 up and Coley & Fielden were doing a fantastic job. The system was working, as soon as the interchanges were made... the first error came from Prescott which resulted in a try. Then later another one came, coming from Joel Tomkins.... then again the next from Tuson second half.

Indiscipline has been major factor all season and hasn't been improved upon.

We gave Leeds a way back into the game, and that's unacceptable.

ANY team giving away a 14 nil lead, deserves to win nothing!

How many times have we done it this season?

Indiscipline and inexperience have cost us in some pretty big games. We need some smarter, older heads on the pitch. If Lima, Hoffman and Finch had been available, i'm pretty sure we wouldn't have lost that...

I never thought for one minute that it would be a walk in, infact I've had an inkling all week that we would lose. However, to lose a 14-0 lead in the way we did, with needless penalties and silly errors was a poor effort.

We have thrown so many games away in this manner and if we want to win a trophy at some point we can't keep doing it. We have a good solid side but in these big games we just look like we're lacking something.

This side is young and has so much improvment in it but everyones desperate for success right now and I fear we'll have to wait at least another 12 months.

They're a very talented team, but they lack class as sportsmen.

Pretty impossible to miss it aswell as the idiot shaking the posts.

Yet again Leeds showed why I would always back any other side against them. They show no grace in victory or defeat and I'd love for us to get another crack at them in 2 weeks time.

Who cares..They won we didn't and bitter pop's at what their players did or didn't do is quite sad..

As for Lautiti, what is the ruling on post shaking whilst the kicker takes a kick, I would like to know whether it would be a penalty under the sticks.
