| Just got home from work and watched the WCC. Melbourne were phenomonal in defence tonight and leeds never really looked like breaking them down. After watching a Bellamy coached team tonight and the fact they were head and shoulders in the nrl last year is it really a suprise at the difference Mcguire has made in the tenacity of our team. You really can tell hes been Bellamys understudy at Melbourne, so many comparisons with the dominant tackle and the slowing the play the ball, as well as the gang tackling. Couple that with the speed of the play the ball and how quick we move the ball wide in attack and its almost a mirror image. So excited about what we can achieve under MM just hope this potential turns into silverware.
PS " IL plse sign cameron smith "

| Our defence is the best in the league right now and our attack has more composure than ever.
Very much like any good RL side, not just melbourne.
We are more like Melbourne in the smaller things like techniquie, line speed, and we have developed deeper attacking shape.

| Just wanna point out that Melbourne were not head and shoulders above the rest of the NRL as they finished 3rd. St George won the Giltinan Shield. Just pointing out for accuracy.

Didn't they finish 4th? Not that it matters like.
The problem for Melbourne is that they lose a large chunk of their players on Origin and International breaks. In the playoffs they were far and away the better side.

IL please dont sign Cameron Smith. One game at a time but this Wigan side is shaping up nicely. One thing we dont want is a "big time" Aussie who will take up too much salary cap next year. Lets hope those days are behind us and we retain the quality youngsters.

| Mcguire seems to have taken you leaps and bounds, and it certainly showed against us. From what I've seen this year, if you were up against Melbourne, you could have pulled it off nicely.
You would have made it a more high scoring game I think.

Absolutely it does, and that is what should really give us optimism going forward.
It also wasn't that much of a suprise that Senior spat his dummy, the big girl

PMSL. You just can't make this up.
You wouldn't have come within 30 points of that Leeds team on the night, never mind Melbourne.
