| Pointless keeping a settled halfback pairing when you can change it for the 4th game on the trot for me 
In all seriousness when Wigan played Saints in the league at Knowsley Road this year Eastmond and Tomkins were head and shoulders the best players on the pitch and i said that night it was so exciting for England to have these 2 lads available to them.
They can form an amazing halfback pairing for this country for years to come.
and the petty arguments aside we have another amazing talent in Myler. The halfback problems we've had seem to be over. |

I thought both did ok but we was lucky that sinfield moved us around the field like he did.
The problem with eastmond and tomkins at this age is they can't take control of the game.

You need to read the game, mate. I didn't see tries scored by England in the second half, did you? One was almost scored. If Shenton had managed to control his pass better then Hall would have been in. But other than that it was all defences.
So of course Eastmond was quiet. As was Tomkins. But both of them worked their butts off in defence, which is what the second half was all about. |

Correct and one of the most impressive aspects of Tomkins and Eastmond is they are both very strong in defence. They don't come rushing out of the line and they get their man 9 times out of 10. |
