Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

If you read IL statement the bit which, makes me scratch my head is the "change is necesarry at some point for all businesses and there are precedents of Head coaches leaving at the end of their contract period in super league at the two most successful clubs of the last 5/6 years - Saits & Leeds.
First of we are a rugby club Ian a way of life for this great town, we dont see it as a business.
Second point Leeds & Saints when they have changed coaches and like us when we did it in the 90's. These teams where pretty much the finished articles we, on the other hand are very much work in progress.
I hope IL gets his next big decision right. It will either take us forward or set us back a year or two.

Correct me if im wrong but didnt both Smith and Anderson leave Leeds amd Saints because they wanted to rather than Leeds and Saints not offering them a new deal? |

Yeah I think you are correct. I just hope knows what he is doing. In a strange way I have been waiting for the season to end just so we know what will happen next.

I wonder how long it would take to get from Melbourne/Sydney to Wigan the day after the NRL grand final, i think the timing is a very good indicator as to who will replace Nobby. |

I reckon it's wed because that's when they will get a decision about the Visa for McGuire.
I have heard that he ahs been in the country, can't garentee it was at Wigan, but he has definatly been in the county. Seems odd to me, being such a massive time of the season for Storm, but that's what I've been told.
