| Great news about Sam's new contract this week.
I notice some people seem to expect him to be scrum half whilst others say stand off. My preference is for him to play stand off, he looks a natural there IMO, but I think he has played quite a lot at scrum half in the reserves.
What is the general concensus?

IMO he is one of those players who is equally comfortable at 1st or 2nd receiver.
He has the pace and acceleration to go through gaps wide out against 3/4's and also has the footwork and agility to dance through the big guys in the middle.

| Sooner have him as a 6, although there is the risk of split halves.

| The good thing about Tomkins is he looks natural in either position, so regardless of which he gets played in he'll never suffer from being forced to play a position he isnt comfortable in.
When hes older he will probably specialise into one or the other but as a youngster, only just 20, I think he will still show a good mix of traits that suit either role.

| I dont think it matters to be honest.
As long as his halfback partner is a quality 6 or 7, im sure Sam's game will flourish.
Ideally he will stay at 6 because Myler will be at 7 - I can dream I suppose.

| Myler has signed for Warrington so we can forget that dream. Tim smith needs an operation on his dislocated sholder so it looks like he will be on a plane home.

It was a shoulder injury with Smith even though it looked like a wrist on when watching him hold his arm.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| It depends who we can sign if I am honest.
If we can only get a 7 then he will play 6 but if we get a 6 then play him at 7.
While Noble is here it does not matter if he is 6 or 7.
