| Will be announced on Wednesday.
Been having a moan on the rlTerrace Boardrl but I think are options in the backs look appalling.
Our best options for the test side seem to be young players who have played zero play off games in the Super League - which to me is a true test of ones ability - certainly on a mental level.
Is it just me thinking our test prospects look bleak?

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| 1- Briscoe
2- Fox
3- Gleeson
4- Shenton
5- Hodgson/Ainscough
6- McGuire
7- Burrow
8- Morley
9- Roby
10- Peacock
11- Hock
12- Ellis
13- O'Loughlin
14- Carvell
15- Burgess
16- Gilmour
17- Graham
How weak are we in the backs???????? Its hard to pick a team of backs because I don't think the likes of Sykes, Atkins and Hall aren't international quality and Wellens and Senior are past it.
Leon Pryce has no position and his game of show and go doesn't work against well drilled opposition like the aussies and he isn't creative and has no great passing or tackling ability. Same can be said for Wilkin, his game only works against weaker opposition thats why he is ace in superleague against crap teams but when it is a final or international he goes missing.
And before the stains lot start moaning about Pryce and Wilkin, I wish it wasn't true so we could beat the aussies but it is.
If Ainscough can practice catching the ball under pressure and get better defensive wise (he is ok in defence nothing major needs to be done just a little work) he would be in my team he would rip the aussies to shreds, they wouldn't know what had hit them, he is a freakish runner of the ball with no fear, thats what you need, he is game breaker and thats what you need at international level.

Who have we got who has got that x factor and could win a game on their own?
Maybe Raynor if he is fit and thats all.
Calderwood, Hall, Hodgeson, Gardner are average.
Peter Fox is a fantastic player he is international quality.

Shenton has more creativity than Yeaman
Clarke, Diskin are average.
Carvell is paying well at the minute and has good go forward.
If you read my post you would know my reasons for not picking Pryce and Wilkin. Same for picking Ainscough.

I'll get slated for picking Gilmour but he's playing in the backs atm and always seemed to do well for GB given the chance

Gilmour is the blueprint second rower, centre at a push.

Switch them round then, Pryce on the wing and him at centre.

I'm not a big fan of playing players out of position, even swaping a left to right centre around even though some people don't see the big deal it does make a big difference with the player.

| Should we not be considering Hall as a winger as he is the leading try scorer currently(or near the top)

Ryan Hall yeah he might be near the top try scorer charts but I don't think he s as good as Smith, Raynor, Hodgeson or Ainscough. He might be in a few years (he is a good athlete not a rugby player if you get what I mean) but he does't thrill me with confidence in beating the aussies if he is playing on one of the wings.

| Doesn't Ainscough struggle to hold his place at Wigan? Do you think he would be as popular a choice on lets say the Leeds site?
.....Or is this the England side with the most Wigan players we can squeeze in due to it being the Wigan forum-just a thought.
Maybe on the Quins site they would be presenting a case for C Melling to be considered as a 2 or 5 to add to his other cap. Maybe not a popular choice on here as he was released as being inadequate for the mighty Pies
Other considerations for slots could be LMS, Clubb and Purdham all of which are internationals. Maybe TS has a policy of looking at the clubs outside of the top 6 where you, Bradford and Warrington may get inclusions-who knows- Maybe he may just go for form players from form clubs which could exclude some of your suggestions from the cherry and whites-Ainscough included
