A great day of rugby league is planned in the south of france on easter sunday. A large number of fans will be making the trip over for the Wigan game against the Catalan Dragons on easter monday.

[sizeCoaches will be leaving the CASTILLET PERPIGNAN AT 1045AM and will cost €10 per person return.[/size We have spaces for around 80-90 people so please us know in advance if you require seats !!!! (note coach price changed from last topic it was €5 each way not return)

For all those who are staying in Canet, there is a public bus that leaves Canet at 9am Sunday morning and costs €1 per person.

Coaches back will be at 530PM

Ille sur Tet is the home of Jean Galia, and a little statue is erected there for him just inside the stadium there although it's not the best commemorative artifact in France, its a nice little aside to the game being in the stadium there.

He is the father of French Rugby League, the union man who switched codes starting it all of in France.



Food/BBQ will be available at the game and also you will be able to get yourself a beer for €2 during the afternoon. Soft drinks etc will be available.

After the game, the local Catalan Supporters club will be putting on a mini celebration in only the way the French can!! Music, drinks, food, wine etc.

Easter Sunday in Perpignan is generally a quiet day with many bars/shops/restaurants closing. So what a great time to get out of town to watch some ARL and enjoy a few drinks.

A FUN DAY OF RUGBY LEAGUE IS PLANNED.

I'd like to book 4 of us on, just not sure if we'll be there in time though. Flight only lands at 9.45. Is the ground far from the town centre? Could jump a taxi if its not too far, then get the coach back.

The coach actually leaves at 11am, 1045 is the meeting time. If your flight is on time then you may just make it. Otherwise a taxi will be your best option and we can book you on the way back, will just be €5 per person.

The coach can always hang on 10 minutes if we know you are on your way. Maybe you can text/phone when you know if your going to be on time.
