35556.jpg SNAKE EATER WROTE:
Saints are a once in a generation team, they have some all time legends in their team ?(cunningham, long, pryce graham). Leeds have it all to do to win any trophies when this mob are around. The bulls never had to compete with a team this good, just the eccentric ups and downs of millwards era. Theres no comparison.:35556.jpg |

| With Wigan's next three games all on sky does anyone agree that the pressure will only intensify on Noble? It will certainly be a make or break time for the shaping of Wigan's future but which way will it go?
Loss, loss, loss is certainly panic stations with a new boss being appointed. Loss, loss win and he will be skating on very thin ice. Loss, win, win means he can sleep a little sounder in his bed & win, win, win means the season is back on track. Any opinions as to how it will go?

Don't talk rubbish, the season wouldn't be a write-off if we lost 6 matches.
Some fans are so fickle its un-believable.

However, a number of electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

As far as lifting any kind of silver-ware, bearing in mind the level of anticipation going into this season (as in "The first year with a Nobby-built team", etc.) - It would.
I am already disillusioned and we're only 3 games into the season.
I can't see where our points are going to come from if we continue to "improve" (as Phil Veivers would have us believe) at the current rate - Bearing in mind that the rest of SuperLeagye are improving as well over the course of the season.
The last time I felt this bad was with Millward in charge, and he came as close as anyone to getting us relegated.
Sorry, but Nobby has lost my confidence, along with (allegedly) that of the dressing-room

It's not being fickle its being realistic, for a team who at the start of the season had top 3 ambitions the start we've had is unacceptable.

| On the one hand threads on here rubbish half the team.
The other, they say we should be going for a top three spot.
Noble should stay until end of this season and then see what happens from there.
Noble knows we have a pack that's not strong enough as do we all but IL has not brought any props in. Instead we got a 9 and a wingman.
Until we strengthen the front row it's going to be struggle all season.
IL mentioned maybe a mid season signing, he should go for an early season signing. A prop forward too!
It's Ian Lenagan who needs to make things happen far more than Noble.

It would be realistically. It would mean we could be 12 points behind Saints and Leeds. Or even if they lose we'll be more than 8+ behind the top 3/4 teams which is where we must have targetted to finish at the beginning of the season & if you have any realistic chance of winning the competition you must finish in the top three. Maybe top two. The past 2 seasons we've had to play 3 games most away from home each week and with play off intensity it has proven a bridge too far.
So I agree with what fans are saying - lose the next three matches and we can practically write the season off because it would be VERY VERY unlikely we could achieve anything. Maybe just hope for a good cup run.

Fickle? thats not the word i would use after Wigans 'performances' so far this season.
The reality of this competition is that Wigan never win it.
