And Eddie said "Even the girls have moustaches" at Leeds Play off game. Never have I been so proud of my missus, even though she was on TV with her sister a big black muzzie!!

| Time has come to give the young man a run out, he can't be any worse than Smith was tonight!

| Smith is trying to be to clever, it would improve if he did the basics.
6 Tomkins
7 Smith
9 Tommy (until Riddell is fit)

| Tim Smith? He's no Trent Barrett!
Actually im not sure hes even fit to iron Barretts name on last years kit.
What was all that about? running 20 yards touching the Cas players shoulder whilst letting him score?
TOMKINS IN!
Now or never Noble, the lad has to be given a chance.

Agreed.
Shaun Ainscough came in tonight and was superb, proof that we do have young players who can come in and do the job asked of them. He has to give Sam a chance next week as he can hardly do any worse can he?

| He can't tackle, he kicked the ball out on the full twice, the kicks down field were constantly going down the full-back's neck, he was very slow in attack, and ade a few very bad decisions, I remember on a couple of occasions where he didn't seem to realise it was the last tackle, then ended up getting tackled for the handover.

| Tim Smith is one of the most disapointing players ever to hit these shores. He absolutely stunk tonight. Horrendous performance. will noble drop him? will he hell! and thats the reason we need a new coach

| As much as I rate Tomkins and being a believer in "if you're good enough, you're old enough", I just hope that he's not overwhelmed by the amount of expectation that people are placing on him. The way that some fans go on about him, anyone would think he's the second coming.
No-one can deny that he had excellent games previously but would shoving him hastily into the first team when expectations are high and moral is low going to do him any good with his confidence? One man does not make a team and i'd hate him to lose confidence should the team not pick up with him part of it.

36121_1270460193.jpg Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.
Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_36121.jpg |

Agreed, of the 10 games we were told he'd partake in he needs at least 5 of these to be on the spin so he can get used to the pace of SL and settle in. I fear the pressure/clamour will be greater now Ainscough's just had a good debut.
