I can honestly say after flowers cowardly act we was the only team trying to win that game.I was embarrassed watching st helens try to play rugby against 12 men.I know they are the champions but the worst champions I've ever seen!

Keep sucking them lemons. The game wasnt great but at the end of the day won without the benfit of having any halfbacks. I'd like to see how Wigan would do with Gelling and Bowen playing 6 & 7

Seen as he took out Saints only playmaker, they fully deserved the win with the players they had out there! And the reactions from Soliola and Makinson after their tries suggest they were defo trying!

It would never be Gelling and Bowen, it would be Lockers and Sarginson or something like that. I would still back us to comfortably win against 12 with those two.

Better team you having a laugh you had an extra man for 80 mins and struggled to win the game.

And as has been pointed out we had no half backs and a prop playing centre, had no attacking structure whatsoever, failed to kick on the fifth a few times, yet still beat your team of bleeding marvellous homegrown heroes. Think that makes us the best team.

Sorry Claire, if you had been at the game you'd have seen what an utter shambles Saints were all over the park. Saints played 13v12 for 78 mins, were losing 2-6 at half time and the winning try came from a kick as your lot couldn't break down a 12 man defence.
Saints won, that's what matters though!

Thats the thing our loose forward who can play in the halves is injured too and Sarginson is probably in a similar space to Turner I suppose in that he has had the odd game in the halves.

Despite some of what my fellow Saints might have seen I was at the game and I know we were shambolic. We had no halfbacks and no backup halfbacks so it's kind of to be expected tbh. We won through hard work and grit rather than brains.

We had brain farts all over that pitch tonight.

We needed half time as the first half was pretty poor.

Not sure why Brown moved 5 players for one position, but in the end the second half we wised up and just tackled Wigan in their own half and kept it clean.

No penalties and no getting beaten out wide, which was a shocker in the first half.

I'd say you were beaten out wide at least twice in that second half; once on either flank. Unfortunately, from a Wigan perspective, we didn't manage to finish either one..

Speaking of no penalties you actually committed two professional fouls that the ref completely bottled.

A kick breaks down a defence as does a glorious 8 man handling movement.

Main thing is Ted as you say Saints won.
