| Captain tonight- good luck to him.
I think he has made a mistake signing for Wakefield, he signed for more 1st team opportunities but he has been picked every week when fit this year and even made the wembley 17 when everyone is fit. Wish he was staying to be honest, we could do without losing another.

| Agree, he has quietly improved this year and has eradicated the odd missed tackle and knock on that seemed to be present in his game over the past few years.
I find his relationship with Wane quite interesting - watching the videos of the challenge cup weekend they seemed very close and the decision to make him skipper tonight shows the respect he has for him (i also believe there may be a personal connection between them?). I was surprised Wane let him go to be honest.
Would be happy if he stayed but good luck to him anyway

| From what I've heard Tuson had no choice but to leave.
His contract was up and was offered less money to stay on. Tuson aparrently begged the club to stay on the same money as he'd previously been on for the last few years - and the club said no! I then heard he left the stadium in tears.
At Wakefield he's been offered a better contract which includes a house.
Good luck to the lad, but doesn't paint the club in a good light.

If true... that's very poor.
He's never let the club down, is a decent enough bench/back-up backrower and gives 100% every game.

Not surprised there at all, IL is trying to run this club like a man trying to afford a mortgage on minimum wage!

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| He's been tremendous. Wish we would have stayed. If what Matty says is true, that shows a shocking lack of respect.

| If that is true I'm very disappointed and hope that Pettybourne, who is likely to replace him, justifies whatever wages he is on.

Why should the club pay him more than they feel he is worth? RL is a business at the end of the day, and in business there can be no room for niceties and loyalties. Gutted for Chris if it's true, but, we have a limited salary cap and need to manage it as best we can. If this means certain players take a pay cut, so be it.

Maybe, but is he really worth less now than he was when his previous contract was agreed? I could understand it, with, say, a player coming to the end of his career, but it seems a tad unfair to me, if true.

| I said at the time we should be offering him less than he was on. He was older but hadn't kicked on at all (he was poor before this season) and we had Hughes and Burke both looking like overtaking him despite being a few years younger. It's just sod's law that he hits the form of his life as soon as he's put pen to paper

| Wakefield are having major financial troubles and have had to sell Tim Smith, I hope he can get out of it some home and is offered a decent deal at Wigan.

| Wakefield have reveled a £400 k black hole in their annual budget. They are trading at a 400k loss per year and desperately need to raise some cash to balance the books. That is how the bulls saga started. Difficult and slippery slope, particularly if they try and chase sl survisal next year. The have and always will be a club that struggles financially. You only need to lookat their stadium and the fact that its only a couple of seasons ago they were in Administration and they are already in finacial trouble again. Brave decision Chris has made to join them.

This kind of thing amazes me in that it seems to happen time and again in Rugby League. Is it really that hard to budget and only spend what you earn? It is a pity though because Glover really seemed to have turned things around there both on and off the field with increased attendances and things like getting the terracing covered.

| I'd be seeing if Tuson and Wakefield wanted to reconsider.
