I wasn't sure about him before the PNG game but he showed he is at least worthy of keeping his place for Mid Season test in June. He's a big lad too, be interesting to see if he can hold his own against Australia & New Zealand.

Which surely makes you question why gleeson wasn't on the plane?

Gleeson was and still is a class act and should have been playing. For whatever reason he isn't going to get picked and i think he has accepted that. Macnamara should go and have a chat with Henry Fa'fili, Chris Hicks, Chris Riley or Darrell Goulding before he decides gleeson isn't international material anymore.

I think it's probably to do with the (alleged) spat he had with Tony Smith, Banana working as close as he did with TS would have probably been aware. In short a possible clash of personalities.

Atkins was nowhere near his Wire form and Shenton is vastly overrated, tbf we aren't much cop anywhere in the backs.
Sam's game doesn't translate to international, Robinson ? Brown is not international standard, Widdop isn't even a starting player in his club side. We are woeful

Gleesons off field behaviour and influence cost him a place on the England team. His form certainly warranted being picked but obviously this wasnt enough.
