Usual fayre in a big game where we come up short. Matty Smith outstanding tonight but not good enough as a team to take the two points.

Trolling?

We were missing half of our forwards!

I'm happy we can play as well as that with O'Loughlin, McIlorum, Green, Lauaki, Thornley and Flower all out injured. I believe we'd play even better with those available.

Considering the side we had out, I'm not too disappointed. Smith & Gelling stood out for us today, Powell was fairly quiet I thought. Great second half from Crosby also.

Are you being serious? You just watched a bunch of kids come close to beating "the best team in the league at full strength" and your moaning. warrington look dire compared to the last few seasons i was expecting an slapping tonight but it come down to not enough petrol left in the tank. LOL at all the Anthony gelling doubters looked quality and better than i have seen thornley play all season.

Wire at full strength, i expected an 18 point defeat... Not too unhappy, despite how much i hate to lose.

Considering that around 7 players was missing and the won the game in the last 10 minutes its not as disheartening as it could have been. Saints Have had 7 players missing what happened to them this season.

We miss Green and Lockers massively but not just them Dudson, Flower, Lauaki and Taylor missed the game. I was expecting a 30 point beating considering the form Wire are in. To lose to their best side in the last 10 minutes shows how well the young players have stepped up this year.

Not too much wrong with that. Keeping them down to 22 was a fine effort. It's unlikely we'll be going back there again this year. We have nothing to fear.

i always expected to lose this one, in the grand scheme of things it means nothing ,We're still top and 4pts clear of Warrington , 3 clear of Hudds

I predicted a 30-10 defeat. We almost won, the game was fantastic. I'm certainly not disappointed. To think those kids can reach those levels give you more confidence if they have to be thrown into a playoff of Challenge Cup game at short notice. Well done young lads.

With the 1st choice 6, 9 and 13 out plus others who would probably be a shoe-in such as Flower I think that is not very fair.

What it does say is as always in a season which revolves around two knock outs luck with injuries will play a part. Put that side out v a full strength Wire side in the play-offs and we'd probably get the same result but lets cross that bridge when and if we come too it. They could be in the same boat by then themselves.

Superb game superb effort by the team.

With a full strength team I would fancy us to beat Wire.

Wigan's young lads showed up BIG TIME. That is as high a level a game of rugby league can get in this country and all your young lads stood tall, you should be proud. Like a previous poster said the win means very little, just a truly great game of rugby league and played in the right spirit. No sh&thouses like Bailey assaulting people,.

Well Done Wire, Well Done Wigan and Well Done rugby league.
