| ...cracking atmosphere, shame about the result!
I'm surprisingly not as disappointed as I probably should be. Both teams made lots of mistakes, just that they punished ours more than we did theirs, and on another night, with a bit better luck, could easily have gone the other way. Both teams will still be in the mix come the playoffs.
Nice to see a bit off "biff", too, even with the resulting daft penalties!

| Even without the result (which is perfect btw) i would have enjoyed that game, another 'classic' to add to the last few years between the clubs.

| Wire were fortunate tonight. Wigan did enough to win but Wire just kept coming back.
Not pretty but very tense.
Great crowd too 21k +

| I thought we threw the game away. Wasn't bothered about losing last year because they were just better than us. Even Radlinski said we threw it away.

Even Radlinski eh? Shame. Flags looked good though.

| I agree, already said it.
Wigan looked dangerous on most sets, we looked a little 1 dimensional, we lucked in today.
The kind of result that should bode well for us , tough ground out if some what lucky win.

| Wigan didn't throw it away, eric did. silverwoods weird decisions in the second half didn't help much though

By weird decisions, are you referring to the non-award of a penalty when Hock took out a man to let Tomkins break through? Or maybe his refusal to send Lauaki off?

Looked just like the build up to the Dogtanian try to me.

| Once again our lack of a kicking game bit us in the . Far too many kicks going straight down the throat of the defender or into touch.

| Edge of the seat stuff and a great advert for our wonderful game (apart from a certain tackle but moving on) All we need to do now is change the sky munch bunch!! They are useless!

| Wire at about 50%, Wigan at about 70%, lots of mistakes......If we are being honest, the constant closeness of the score was the main reason for it being a good game.
If either side had just been able to step up a level, then it could have been one-sided and a pretty tedious match.
From a Wire point of view, the main thing to come out of this is that we are becoming very difficult to beat, even when nowhere near their best.....If I was a Wiganer, the feeling would be pretty similar - Plenty more to come from both sides, I'd reckon the Grand Final will be contested between these two come October.

they did level them selfs up in the end so nobody should moan about the bad calls costing the game. but the incorrect play of the ball was advantage from messing around in the ruck

It wasn't an incorrect play-the-ball, you are correct.
Because it was a voluntary tackle. No-one had tackled him.
