| Which are you most passionate about? Would you rather Wigan win the challenge cup or England win the world cup?
The reason I ask this is because I think part of the problem with the international game is that we don't get behind it enough. We can get close to 90,000 in at Wembley for a club game yet can only just fill 25,000 seats for games against Australia.
For me I would rather see Wigan win than England but when it comes to the world cup, I would go for England every day of the week.
Also, no point in having 2 threads for this so what team would you pick as well?
Mine would be
Briscoe - Better than Wellens IMO
Hall - Big, strong, quick and what we need.
Shenton - The best centre we have this year
Senior - His experience will do us good and he is solid
Smith - A very talented player, may as well use him while he is still in RL
Pryce - Better than Mcguire
Burrow - The best we have, do not want to throw in young guns
Peacock - Great prop
Roby - Still the best we have
Graham - Great prop, can play lots of mins
Ellis - Great player on his day, should do well with NRL experience
Morley - Get in their faces early on
Lockers - The best backrower this season
Westerman - Great young talent, I would love to see him step up
LMS - Great young prop
Crabtree - Great impact for Hudds this year, he could keep momentum
Burgess - Another great talent we have
We are not going to beat the aussies with skill so we will have to try and dominate them, so lets just steam roller their pack, and with a pack like that playing how they have this season, we could do it.
Our backs are shocking, but so much choice in the forwards, many good players have missed out on this team.

| Tough one really. Playing wise I guess i'd rather win the World Cup as surely there is no greater honour than playing for your Country (or there shouldn't be)
As a fan - I'd probably say Wigan winning the cup as you spend more time watching your club than your Country.
My team would be:
Briscoe
Fox
Gleeson
Shenton
Gardner
Pryce
Burrow
Peacock
?
Graham
Ellis
O'Loughlin
Westerman
Roby - would be tempted to start him and use Burrow from the bench as a hooker with Myler at 7, but Roby is a better impact player than starting player
Burgess
Morley
?/Burrow
I think we need to go down the RU path and plan NOW for 2013. Give the likes of Myler, Eastmond, Westerman and the Tomkins brothers game time

What about Hall? I think he is miles better than Gardner. Fox is maybe in with a shout though for sure.
I would also love to throw Tomkins and Eastmond in but I don't think they are ready yet.

Same team as mine but with 1 less player then, I wouldn't do that against the aussies
I think the main point of the team and tactics is to not try and outskill them, lets just steam roll them with a huge and experience pack.

| I would go for Wigan winning the Challenge Cup over England in the World Cup. I think people would care more about the international game if we had more regular winnable games. I think it is almost 40 years since we won the Ashes or a World Cup and we are way off competing with Australia. If we had a regular competition like the RU 6 nations (with an England 'A' team in until the others became competitive enough for the full team) then I think it may help the international set up to be taken more seriously.
I assume the team is for the 4 Nations mine would be
Briscoe
Fox
Atkins
Shenton
Hall
Pryce
Burrow
Graham
Moore
Peacock
Ellis
O'Loughlin
Westerman
Morley
McCarthy-Scarsbrook
Burgess
Roby
With the likes of Mossop, S Tomkins, Eastmond and other promising youngsters being used after that to prepare them for 2013

| Maybe the likes of Eastmond, Tomkins etc could be in the squad and play some part against France. We need to blood them slowly and then by 2012 they'll be the core players and then the ones with the experience for the World Cup.
We have some cracking prospects.
Ainscough, Tomkins x2, Eastmond, Clough, Hall, Shenton, Mossop, Westerman, Burgess x3, Cooper, Myler. Not to mention Graham, Roby, Briscoe and the like who will still be around come 2013.

True but most of them have not made it yet. In 2013 Ellis and some of the other experienced ones could still be around.

| Wigan winning the CC or SL for me. Our international game isn't good enough to be taken as seriously IMO, with only three sides capable of winning anything (and I include us in that very liberally) and the rest miles behind. The CC and SL are much closer than that, ok there are still the big two (Saints and Leeds) but we have a challenge cup final between the 3rd and 8th teams, showing that the mid table sides aren't that far behind them. Maybe one day the likes of PNG, France, the Samoan islands, Ireland, Scotland and Wales might make the international game more interesting, but for now it's just not credible enough.

| Wigan by a zillion miles, for me.
Having an RL 'World Cup' is a bit of an Oxymoron really, as there's only ever going to be 3 teams seriously competing. Well, 2 if we are completely honest about it (NZ / Aus).
I just dont feel anything like the same passion when watching England / GB, as i do even when we are playing the minnows in the early rounds of the CC.
Sad state of affairs, i confess, but there you go.
No need to name a team, cos its the one we already have!

| Not enough people care about the International game because its not competatvie enough. Down here after the NRL its all about Origin, alot of NRL fans arent even fully aware of the end of season 4 nations.
As much as i would England to win im even less confident than i have ever been. Its funny looking at those teams and think how many Aussies would be in front of them. I like Briscoe but he wouldnt even come close to the top 5 full backs down here.
