A massive well done to our boys. Our defence and effort was fantacstic tonight. Yes we didnt win, however the effort was superb.

Go with the same attitude in defence next week and we stand a great chance of going to wembley.

But two points. Neither did Saints. The conditions clearly played a part.

And secondly it would be bizarre to suggest our boys don't deserve credit for their defensive effort tonight.

I dont think it was down to having no cutting edge but more the fact that we spilled the ball or made an error everytime we had a chance to score. We had plenty chances to score in the first half but came up with an error.

Saints the so called entertainers had no more cutting edge than us. With the amount of field position they had they should of easily won the game.

I will give you one post of retort as I haven't seen you before.



You can have all the effort in defence in the world.

If you are not clinical enough in attack it will hurt you.


It did tonight.

It was a great game tonight great defense by us and by saints. The effort in bad conditions was superb by both sides. I know we lost but its one game that i have not come away disappointed if we play like that next week it will be a Wigan V Saints final in the CC

I can't see anyone claiming effort and defence somehow magically give you a cutting edge as I write this.

I can, however, see a poster who is seeming to completely misread the original post. And oh, look - it's you.

Although Flanagan had a very good game, his botched pass after the break in the first half did prove to be costly.

It was a nip and tick game, though - it was going to come down to a small error here or there.

I wouldn't be too hard on anyone as a result!

That was not a great game.

from a neutral point of view i thought it was a great game to watch, tense and some superb defending.

A really good old fashioned derby!
