No harder than anyone elses, the top of someones head going into the front of someone face is always going to result in an outcome like that. Totally accidental though and I hope Lauaki is okay.

| Lauaki was 'spark out' and have now seen it close up on HD.
His eyeballs had rolled up.
Thought it was very serious at one stage, hopefully OK.

| He didn't go to hospital during the match. He was still in his kit pottering around in the dugouts at the end of the game, looking pretty groggy. Thought he might have broke his jaw like one of the Leeds players last year? (Burgess?) Definitely looked like there may be some teeth missing though.

| Tv said he had a few stitches but not break. I think he may have some sort of concussion because he looked like he wasn't sure where he was at the end, or maybe thats just how he looks

| Touch and go for the weekend according to Wane today.
We could do with him with Prescott and Flower now being out for 6 weeks each.

| They said in commentary there was no break, and they will assess him for a possible concussion during the week.

| He'll be reet. Friday might be too soon though. Doctors tend to err on the side of caution with concussions

| Given the increasing evidence of potential long-term damage from head impacts, I'd be disappointed if he's allowed to play again within 2 weeks.

| This weekend you will see Gil dudson start with mossop, with lima on bench alongside tuson, hughes and faz.
Crosby will be in the 19.
H will step up to prop alongside lima

| they are hard lads these days but i do agree, if necessary let him take the doctors' orders and have a rest to recover fully. player welfare comes first. this should also give us a bit of a better idea of how decent our squad depth is. flower and preccy arent neccessarily massive key players but they are players in key areas and hopefully the squad will be more than up to the task.
as for lauiki, get well soon. as for flanaghan, i bet he's got a belter of a shiner now!

| I'm getting really soft in my old age. I was terrified when he went down, didn't move, and then the paramedics went on. My eldest was with me saying "It's times like this you appreciated the emergency services". Maybe so but it was times like that I was wishing my kids didn't play rugby.

Skull caps and mouth guards should be mandatory in the junior game and at least three weeks off following any head injury at any level.
There are too many tub thumpers in the amateur/pro game who try and impress that playing with this type of protection is some how soft. The idea isn't to get hurt but to show your talents and win games.
Got to say RU has it right. Anyone with a head injury isn't allowed to play for three weeks, even if they want too.
