| in Noble's coffin? Hopefully.
a - why pick Lockers and Bailey? They blatantly weren't fit... Why not stick with the team that had done so well peviously?
b - he was owned on the tactics front completely. Fielden and Feka coming on lost us the game. We've got one prop there who's a defensive liability while the other who can't attack for toffee. It's no surpise the comeback started when they were off the pitch...
as for the players...
Tonkins (who had a shocker) needs a player who can share the workload. We need another halfback because i'm afraid Lulu (also had a shocker) isn't good enough. Harsh, but true.
Roberts had a decent game in attack, but is dodgy defending the high ball - a bit like Ainscough. So who do you pick?
Prescott and Coley did ok, but they desperately need some support from other props who can share the workload, not add to it.
Escuse the rant, but this isn't the first time they've served up garbage this season...

Lockers was a "Big mistake", but apart from that, thought his choices were limited through injuries. Lets give T.Smith a bit of credit, he totally nullified Fecka`s/Fielden`s effectiveness and destroyed your go forward.

You can say what you want about the forwards - which i agree btw - but roberts cost us 2 tries today - how many more is e gonna cost us before the end of the season. I don't have an agenda re roberts/ainscough but wasn't ainscough dropped for exactly what is happening regularly with roberts - the only difference is ainsicough scored twice as many tries at the other end. Maybe I shouldn't criticise because we all know mr lenaghan doesn't like fans criticising players.

| It's probably harsh to blame Noble solely for today's shambles, but f*ck it I'm going to do it anyway.
If this guy get's another year then Lenagan needs to give his head a shake.

I think we must have had the same game plan as we did against Catalan in our last semi!
Give the opposition a large advantage then try to win the game in the 2nd half.
Didn't work then, certainly didn't work today ... all that illustrates is that we learned nothing from that semi defeat a few years back.

| It has taken a long time for teams to totally target Feka in defence like Wire did today. Seeing how it affected his go forward expect a lot of teams to do exactly the same given the chance.
As for playing two players just back from injury it does beggar belief.
Sadly the best team won even though it hurts to say that.

| Personally i thnk Roberts should be given one more game before he's dropped. To be fair King is a lot taller and he had no protection for either of the tries. ATM, Ainscough and Roberts both have weaknesses, so i'm not sure who should start to be honest. Oh, and when is Martin gleeson going ot start earning his money. Another anonymous performance by him today...

Out of the two I would play Ainscough. Ok his defence is pretty pants but he has scores a shed load of tries in the games he has played for the first team.

| we lost today because T Smith game plan was excellent. Run at Feka tire him out, run around him at marker make easy yards. it is not rocket science, I thought Lockers had a good game as did bailey till he went off injured. the fact is we have no decent props:
prescott: knockonathon
Fielden: could not break out of a paper bag let alone a tackle
Coley: not a prop a good second row
Feka: please leave you contribute nothing apart from tries for the opposition
If we do not sign a prop for next season and a decent half back to partner tompkins so tommy can move to 9 next season will be the same. fact is Lenaghan said from day the salary cap is goosed until end of 2010 and there is nothing we can do.

Fair enough, but you're blindly assuming that he'd continue to score tries at that rate, and on the opposite wing?
Or are you suggesting moving pat to roberts side (most of pats trys have come while playing off carmont)?
Do you honestly think it's just a case of put ainscough in and we'll score loads of trys, if you do then I think you're in for a huge disappointment and would hope you'd not join the bandwagon that would no doubt spring up to destroy ainscough - after all, the vitriolic little gits would need somebody else to blame then.

No I don't but it does seem that it's 1 rule for 1 and 1 rule for another. But hey Roberts has had 3-4 good games for us this season.

| I personally think he's had more than 3 or 4 (but that's just my opinion and not necessarily other peoples)
I personally thought ainscoughs try haul was flattering to him, and he hadn't been fantastic in all the games he player (and again that's just my opinion)
It's a team sport and there aren't any quick easy answers, or any guarentees that things would be different if we'd play player X

| Your best players, especially the forwards are your young lads ie. Flanagan, Joel Tomkins. The senoir players are the let-downs especially Feka & Fielden. BUT as long as Nobby is in charge Fielden will be in the 17 no matter how bad he plays! Too much like best pals, not player & coach.
