I think the Latics fans were touched when pretty much the whole town got behind them in the cup. I know the Latics fans I know have a lot of respect for the rugby fans after that, it's nice to see them returning the favour. One town!

Relations are definitely thawing and things like this can only help.
The town isn't big enough for petty rivalries. Every single person in this town should feel immense pride in what's been achieved this year. It's not only the football and rugby teams but there's been athletes staring in other sports and then there's the youth zone that's been opened.
This town gets some bad press but I love it. It is an interesting town and I'm proud to tell people where I'm from. It's very rare anyone, anywhere in the world will say 'where' When you tell them your from Wigan.
