| He's still playing well but for me he just doesnt seem to be enjoying it anymore looks like he has something on his mind. Bit worrying really when there are RU rumours flying round.

| They can fly around all they want.
RU are more than welcome to come and talk to Sam in 4 years time, when his current deal runs out.

| It,s Joel Tomkins who will be going to Union first.............I wonder if Sam is thinking of following him to the dark side.

| I was watching the Yawnion match this morning (Scotland v Argentina). I've made a deal with a housemate at Uni that if she watches the Four Nations with me I'll watch the Union World Cup with her. Watching the game of Union though I must admit all I could think about was that someone like Sam Tomkins would absolutely rip teams to shreds. He would break records. The space out wide at times is frightening and for someone so quick and evasive like Sam he would rip those big lumpy forwards to shreds.

| He would be a huge hit over on the darkside, and possily be a bigger star than our very own Jason Robinson.

| Sam looks to have something on his mind. I think the pressure of all the fuss made of his V flicking at Wembley has taken some toll but I also wonder if him getting a dressing down by the club over it has made upset him a little.
He doesn't look to be playing with a smile at the moment and that's a big worry at this stage.

| It's just a random theory, but I think scoring a try tonight is exactly what Sam needed... let me explain.
I think it may have really bothered him that he failed to score, or even make that much of an impact (other than the Joel try assist) in the Cup Final and I think I'm right in saying he has also failed to cross the try line since then?
I think the amount of pressure that we (and others) put on him by having this expectation of him being the stand out performer week in week out may have gotten to him. Not in the fact we expect it of him (this I think he loves), but more that it knocks him when he fails to do it. Think about it, one minute he is scoring numerous tries for fun from all over the park every week, then all of a sudden, you can't get over the line? He's still been outstanding for the most part, but I somehow get the feeling that if everyone isn't talking about him after a match maybe he feels he's let the side down...
Like I said, it's just a theory or maybe I'm miles off the mark, but it's a theory all the same.

| Like most of the team, he looks jaded. It's been a long season.

| I just think that the team are still lacking that general spark. Yes we won tonight, but I didn't think it was anything more than an OK performance. Cats were just out on their feet after 15 minutes and we just went through the motions imo.
Tommy being back in the halves helped a bit but there still seems to be a spring in the step missing from the entire side.
Thought Sam did very well under the high ball tonight though, as did Charnley. Sam has improved so much positionally and defensively over the course of this season.

He is fantastic under the high ball, i never feel nervous when a bomb is flying down to him anymore.
Id just like to make it clear I dont see anything wrong with his performances he is playing as he usually does, he just doesnt seem to be enjoying it as much as he has done pre-wembley.

I was watching replays on Sky+ before and his speed and decision making running across the in goal area with the opposition attacking the line is immense!!

| I'd imagine that after the booing at Leeds, he's probably far less in love with the game now than he was when he started out all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Playing for your country should be the pinnacle of your career, and that's now been soured for him in a big way.
The irony is that when he leaves - and I think it's when rather than if - those Yaaarkshire dimwits responsible will consider it a result.
And then, even though we'll have lost yet another potential weapon to turn on the Aussies, the usual f*****g idiots will be queuing up to tell us that it isn't a problem, and that we'll always be able to produce another one. And as usual, when we respond that then the next one will go as well, they mysteriously won't respond.

The annyoning thing is though that when he leaves for RU the first ones to criticise him and ridicule him will be the kn0bs who have booed him and call him a cheat every week etc. they will be the first ones to have a go at him for leaving our sport.
