| Not my words , the words of the master tactician that is Brian Noble. Seriously how deluded is this goon? Its not as if weve pathetically lost 9 other games this season and nearly got knocked out of the cup by a second division side..

| Here's a little wake-up call Brian10 "One-Off's"
Let me explain something.
We've had 7 wins and 10 losses.
As we have have more losses than wins, which are *really* the "one-off's" ???????
The way I see it is that we have gone from a team that knows we will win every match, until we get a shock by losing (see Saints/Leeds now), to a team that knows we will lose every match, apart from when we give ourselves a nice surprise by winning the odd one - Which you then cling to desperately, hailing it as "turning a corner" or some other such shiite.
Do us all a favour Noble - Fúck Off back to Yorkshire, stay there and stop infecting our ears with all your böllocks-talk (and take Humpty fúcking Dumpty with you - aka Phil Vievers) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Just had a quick glance at the table , and if everyone wins their games in hand we are second bottom, I know it may not work out like that but this should be a huge wake up call.
Something has got to change, Wire have done it and are now reaping the benefits, including letting one of their stars go to show the rest of the team they mean business.
Someone please save our club from further embarassment IL please stand up .

Not a chance.
The man's got the skin of a rhino and the balls of a gelding.
IL will need to pry his fingers from his office desk (after he's pried his own fingers off his wallet).
And about that - Why the hell do you have to pay up the contract of a complete failure, who's not doing his job ???
If I was so bad at my job that I got sacked, I'd get a month's notice.
Why should he get anything more ???

| If yesterdays performance was a one off then fair enough, but after 3 years of these "one off" results happening more often than not, I belive Nobby has to go.
I am also of the opinion that Nobby has to go regardless of whether we win the Challenge Cup or not, I have this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that the players have lost focus on the league and that they, the coaching staff and the Chairman are banking on one game, i.e. the semi final, to buy them time and jusify the job they are doing.
Unfortunately, I and probably many others have now had enough, three years of abject weekly round performances, with the same inane reasons and excuses for defeat, cannot be papered over by success in the challenge cup.

Well said. Winning the CC ought not to be enough to secure a new deal for Noble. Too late for that now, but I suspect it could be the way IL justifies keeping him on. The thing is, do we even expect or even hope to get to the final!?

Am i the only Wigan supporter who is starting to think that gettintg to the CC final would hurt the club more than help. It would hide the inadequacies we have in the team as well as the coaching.
Whilst Noble is responsible for gettig them ready each week the players are responsible to give the best they can week in week out. Over the last 4-5 seasons (Since Gregory stopped coaching) we seem to have a bad culture in the club. Its fairly obvious that some of the players want to be paid a wage for doing as little as possible at times. Whilst Filden gets hammered each week here i dont doubt hes giving 100% i do dboubt that most players do.
Only way to stop the rot is to ban all the players and enforce a curfew on drinking at the club. Dai Young was once asked after a union match what was he gong to do to celebrate winning a game. His response was if i had the energy to go out after a game i would not have put enough in the game. Piennar the South African captain would play a tennis game to relax after a game. Bet most of our players do something else.
The club either gets the best out of the players or we start getting rid of the players who are not performing. also instead of giving them the luxury of a pre season in a warm climate. Put them in a Butlins camp in mid Winter. I think with all the facilities the club has the players are pampred and will only play when they want to. 24 hours after a lose to a bottom tabls side i usually calm down but at this moment im bloody furious with the bunch of prima donnas bunch on clueless no bodies who dont give a about anything.
weve been here before Noble will say it wont happen again the players will win the next 2 games but it will happen again as it always does. I can accept losing if the players give thier all buit to lose as we do is pathetic and sorry IL youve turned us in the Quins in 18 months.
