| We need to lose the rest of the season and go out of the play offs in the first round, if this does not happen then neither will the changes that are needed, we will just paper over the cracks and these problems will continue to be prevalent, it makes me laugh at the desperation of our fans wanting us to win and get to the final, we do not deserve it, Matty Peet has been found out and took us as far as he can, Mr Danson needs to tear up several of those big contract handed out by Radlinski and make a few big payments if that's what it takes, new blood is needed to freshen the club, pull out the big guns and bring over Cleary and his father, you know it makes sense when you think about deep down.

| We still have to play Leeds and St Helens who are racking up points, were we seem to be stagnated and falling behind with points deference come the end on the last game we could be forth or fifth.

| It’s madness that if we win on Friday we go above Wigan for 48 hrs at least. And that’s after the awful season we’ve had in the main.

Weird feeling coming away from the game tonight. We lost, were on the back foot for a lot of the game, getting pummeled when we had the ball and made umpteen errors, yet we could've won the game and I was pretty happy. We hung in there and I don't think KR will feel great about themselves after that.
If we can get Nsemba, French and Thompson back in and finally find some momentum, that sort of KR performance won't beat us if there is a next time. The league feels more wide open than ever tonight. I think all of Leeds, Saints and Leigh would think they could mix it at that level.
Looking forward to the next few weeks.
With all due respect Wigan barely strung an attack together all game and apart from the hit and hoof that led to the try they never looked like scoring. KR came with a plan and played well within themselves to beat Wigan they had plenty of players missing too let’s be fair about it French maybe back Nsemba should be back but what if Thompson? How long before he’s back we are in the run in now and if this form carries on they’ll be lucky to hold on to second place it’s far to easy to say get those players back and the pixie dust will sprinkle and all will be well it may be the issues perhaps runs little deeper?

You're missing the fact that we've also had an awful season. I can't even remember the last time we played well? Probably April/May and the Vegas game.

I get that but there has been nowhere near the same narrative to be fair has there? We had the real possibility of Wellens being sacked after Magic with a lot of supporters wanting him to be sacked (me included) and we had a lot of "Saints are finished" I don't think there has been the same narrative re Wigan, there has certainly been no signs of fans being annoyed with Peet or claims that Wigan are finished. It's been a very strange season.

KR did not play within themselves, they were knackered at the end of the game, and that's where our try came from. For a side that was so dominant and had so much ball they should have been home and dry by half time, but Wigan stuck in there despite not keeping hold of the ball and being able to build any form of pressure, let alone sustained pressure on KR I'm with NK on this, and although it was a defeat i'm still confident that we can turn it round and go on and win the GF this season, if we can get our players back and fit, as there is no doubt we've missed French and Thompson, but equally Miski, Walters, and Marshy / Wardle and Keighran all appear to have been or are carrying their legs. I know most players will play with knocks at this time of the year, but the strange thing is we dont see to have tried to rotate to keep players fresh / chance to recover unless they have been out injured. Examples of what i mean, Marshy v Leigh was never fit in memory of man, when he intercepted he should be under the sticks, but was easily run down, same game Miski brought back , and not played again til this weekend. Wardle seems to labouring and carrying a knock, Keighran been strapped up and not kicking. We have had chances where Eckersley / Douglas could have played to give one of them a rest, but it hasnt been taken. Junior failing his HIA, was a bit of a blessing as it was a rest for him (forced) as it was unlikely he would been given any time off to recover / refresh himself

HKR had May and McIlorum missing, who would get in to their 17 now (Gildart won't). I'd have May as about the 10th best half in the comp and McIlorum isn't the force he was but is a solid player. Wigan had the leagues best player missing, the leagues best second rower, when in form and in Thompson, a guy who if not the best prop in the league, is right up in the top 2 or 3. HKR have been rolling everyone, yet scored one try against Wigan and that was a Wigan side not just missing those players mentioned but also lacking form/confidence and playing as poorly as you could imagine with the ball and yet, we could've won the game. Now you can look at that two ways and one is to say it just continues and we play that poorly again, even with those players back in but I tend to think we get those guys back and I've no doubt we don't play that badly again with the ball. If we cut out the errors with the ball, show that determination in defence again and finally build some momentum, we'll be ok. I get it's been frustrating and weeks are ticking by but there is time yet. Taking us out the equation for a minute and if we don't win it, I don't think HKR will win the Grand Final either and it'll be one of Saints or Leeds. I've seen enough in the Cup Final and on Friday to feel pretty confident in that. They're a good side but when the effort and energy levels in games are equal and the stakes are high, they seem to clam up and don't look free enough. They were lucky to win the cup final and while they were absolutely in no way lucky to win on Friday, they should've put the cleaners through a Wigan side making that many errors and missing some of their best players.

It's been a very strange season. Agree to an extent but Wellens doesn't have the former glories to rest on, whereas Peet has plenty in the bank. The narrative from our fans has been "you don't win anything in June/July" to "let's just get back to our home games where we are more comfortable" to now "it's fine we will turn it on in time to win the GF". A lot of self coping but somewhat understandable to have confidence in our squad and coaches. We are actually only 2 points worse off than last season at this point (and obviously 2 trophies down). It's just that Hull KR are having their best ever season and our performances generally have been a lot worse, especially from our key players.

| JWH banned for 2 games, which is likely to benefit our biggest rivals for 2nd place in Leeds and Saints, while we got nothing on the night.
Absolutely believable.

I wouldn't worry too much NK. We'll get our usual hammering there as per normal.
