| Father Ted:
Maybe O'Neil to 13 then Leeming to start and Forber off the bench.
Perhaps even Brad to second row?
It feels like Forber must have had some assurances about what the plan is for him to agree to a 5 year deal. He is a talented young player and would get a Superleague club, without a doubt IMO. We obviously lose Byrne and Hill at the end of the season and an option to move Ellis in to prop at times and O'Neill in to 13 is something I guess they may be looking at.

| Cruncher:
"Williams is a top player."
I keep hearing this from people, and I've yet to work out why.
George is now approaching the tail-end of his career, and aside from having the odd good game and doing the odd good thing, I've yet to see anything that would categorise him alongside Andy Gregory, Shaun Edwards, Sean Long, Alex Murphy etc.
Any one of those players would have turned Warrington, where he's been on massive money, into serious challengers for silverware.
And let's not kid ourselves about his time at Wigan. Yes, we won stuff, but there were many occasions when he frustrated the fans with lacklustre, kick-happy performances when we were screaming for something a lot cleverer.
I wish him no ill. In fact, I quite like the fact that, this time, a veteran Brit will be going to wind down his career in Aus instead of it being the other way round. And I have no doubt he'll get picked for Great Britain for his experience and the fact that he can turn it on when he wants to. I just wish he'd done it more often.
To be fair, I think there's a fair bit of distance between saying someone is a 'top' player, and an all-time great.

| Spelling O’Neill at 13 still wouldn’t justify having 3 hookers in the 17, really not sure where Forber fits in the team the next 2 years without injuries, hopefully he gets a loan because it’s a Kew time for his development and he needs to be playing.

| Interesting hearing Josh Charley saying he'd like to finish his career at Wigan, when discussing his future during the On the Bench podcast. Maybe wishful thinking on his part, more so than anything being on offer.
If we could keep Wade (whose salary would count 50% on the cap) or get Charley for the same cost, I'd be going with the latter but it's unlikely to be that straightforward.

I found that strange really. A current Leigh player basically coming out in public admitting to wanting to join his current team's biggest rival. Wonder what Leigh fans think of that

Wonder what Leigh fans think of that Depends if he's under or been offered a contract for next season. If he's not part of Leigh's plans for next season he might as well aim high if he still thinks he can do a job

Wonder what Leigh fans think of that His situation at Leigh seems a bit strange in general. I'm not having it that he's not a better winger than Brand and McIntosh, yet he lost his place and seemed to be on the way out. It felt a bit of a last resort him being brought back in and he's been class since. His relationship with the Leigh fans seems great but a few may be a little miffed at this comments.

No thanks. Been there, done it. Think we’d be better off with Wade IMHO.

| If the price was right, I would be a yes from me.
I love Miski, but I'd have preferred Charley over him when we left Wire.

I'm not sure we need to spend the money on either tbh but surely if they cost the same, a proven 34 year Rugby League winger is better than a 34 year old Union winger? Wade gave it a fair old crack on Friday and the basic errors I suppose can be excused but there is an awful lot of work for him to do, to become a player you could count on in a big game and at his age, I don't think the odds look great that he'll have time to get to the level.
