Our last 3 games we won 2 and lost 1. French only played in the one we lost.

| It's time for other players to step up in the absence of French. We've got Jai Field doing it but other lads need to put their hand up. It's a shame to lose French but I'm excited to see Farrimond get a run..

It's a shame to lose French but I'm excited to see Farrimond get a run.. We need our forwards to step up to something like the level they can deliver, the likes of Farrimond/Smith will not be able to perform if the forwards keep leaving so many carries to our backs as they did against Cas. There were some poor efforts at times last night from the pack (both in attack and defense), we lacked punch and were dominated at times far too easily and seem unable to get on a roll like we normally do. Field has been our main atttacking weapon in recent games and he can't do it on his own all the time, our link play recently has been really poor we hardly seem capable of moving the ball around like we normally can, something is definitely off at present. Add in a lot of silly mistakes handing over possesion as well and it is not good watching.

| We always hit this time of year and pick up a few losses. I’m sure we can turn it around. We looked very clunky last night, wild passes little shape and depth to our attack. Hopefully ride the wave and be fit and firing for the business end, only worry is if a few others pick up injuries. The lads who have come in are great but I think the project signing need to be put to bed now, no one we’ve signed in that role has yet come good.

I love that Cas have had a public apology for not penalising Harry Smith for the pullback yet haven't acknowledged that they awarded a try for a blatant knock-on that was only viewed once by the VR (a complete rarity btw). Edit: this forum is so crap now that you can't even put images in posts: https://i.ibb.co/PsSxbBf2/Screenshot-2025-06-29-202736.jpg

| I thought that Cas try fell into the "not enough doubt there to overturn" category.

| Yet nothing mentioned anywhere that the Cas player who stiff armed Jack Farrimond should have been binned at least and probably sent off. No review from the VR. Nor, soon after the start of the match Douglas was shoved into touch helped on his way by a head shot. Again no review.
In fairness to Grant the ref at least he awarded a pen for both. The VR should have reviewed both incidents. If consistency throughout the season was to be held then both Cas men should have left the field. Funny though, McGuire never mentioned those two incidents.
As for the pull back by Smith. McGuire should be an expert on those he did it thought his career. One time he pulled back George Carmont at the DW and injured himself in the process. Out for some time too.
Smith's pull back was a technical offence the two head shots were foul play. Let's get things in perspective!

| That's all true, but control what you can control. The CC was just plain dumb. I don't know what made Smith think he could get away with that. The fact that, incredibly, he did, doesn't make it any less daft.

| Well the only good thing about these Wigan comeback wins are that they are making me money. I wait until the odds are decent (ish) and then bet on Wigan to win. May as well make money out of my misery and if I do lose my money then it means they have lost so a bit of a win win
