| Couldn't wait for the squad announcement so here goes, I'm assuming same team as last week providing Miski's knee can manage two games, Douglas to come in otherwise. There's a general air of doom and gloom over on RV which is making me even more nervous for this week, looking at the league table there's less than three converted tries between the two teams this season so I can't understand the pessimism that's all over their board. No doubt come 2.55 on Friday I'll be my traditional nervous wreck for this fixture, bring it on !

| I think the pessimism comes from their performances against top teams which, let's be blunt, is the polar opposite of ours.
That said, this is the derby and anything can happen. Like many of you, I remember beating them with kids when everyone and their dog had Saints by at least 20+ so nothing is impossible.
I still expect us to win though but won't be confident until the proverbial fat lady sings!

| And a lot of those Saints tries came in that hammering of Salford.

True, but we also did our points for no harm when we played Salford. Admittedly not quite the hammering saints dished out though I think the big difference between the 2 sides at the minute, as one of the other posters has alluded to is that we appear to turn up for the big games, and this week certainly falls into that category. Our players like the big stage, and hopefully we'll put on a performance this week

| Chris Kendall in the middle, so at least there can't be any complaints about a Wigan ref.

Unless the video ref is from Wigan.

On the positive side it sounds like it will only be another three SL games at most before we get Thompson, Havard and Keighran back. I suspect Miski might have his surgery after the Magic weekend as there will be two free weeks after that in May and early June for the Cup semis and final. As for Saints - same side as last week albeit with an argument that Brad O'Neill should start. Been very impressive since returning. Still a slight concern for me about missing our two starting front rowers but we hopefully should still be OK.

| Yeah he was. I'm pretty happy for the squad we have. Robertson is a big loss for Saints, I think he is the jewel in their crown.

| Interesting to Wellen's selection choice with Whitby, Lomax, Sailor and Welsby. Whitby seems to offer far more attack and kicking game than Lomax but dropping Lomax in this game will be a big decision...
I would probably have Welsby FB, Whitby and Lomax halves, and push Sailor to the wing so they keep some speed in the back line and have a kicking game and experience in the halves.

| Good friday upon us once again. It really is a special day in the rugby league calander, full house too which is briliant.
Expecting a big performance from Wigan. No doubt, they'll be full of confidence after last week and i think us as fans should feel confident.
Jury is certainly still out on Saints and especially on Sailor. Looks more like a fullback than a half so it'll be interesting to see who Wellens goes with. I can't see him leaving Lomax out for the derby but it would be interesting to see how Whitby goes in a big game.
